You have the bop right?
Have you seen this thread before? I think you will like (to participate in) it :
I see the Ally shade in your avatar, sis.
I won't be partaking in the Monrose rate. To be honest I've tried getting into them in the past (admittedly because of your association with them) but from what I remember I didn't find their music to have much behind it. Are there any specific songs I should be checking out? That being said I might revisit some of their stuff. As life would have it, I just don't have the time to partake in a rate anyway.
Hoping Ariana delivers Pomegranate since The Saturdays couldn't
Or Mollie when ha solo career begins!
... which is taking forever. (!!)
she's playin' with me.
Um Vixen help
Maybe Frankie was onto something with The Saturdays MAYBE getting back together for something in 2016 if Mollie's starting in Q1??? This is so exciting like what
Wow I'm an idiot then. I was so sure they didn't finish recording until later in the year? Regardless! The LFTW era felt messy and drawn out when with some planning it could've gone so easily. I hope Mollie Official and co. have a plan in place instead of "does this satisfy the GP?"
Really?! I thought it wasn't finished until like late spring early summer 2013. I'm not sure why now but I could've sworn they were still recording after they released What About Us in March. I'm a bad stan.
I guess my thing is that I just want a properly mapped out 'era'.
That'd be ideal because I'm a fan of artists finishing an album and /then/ releasing singles. It makes for a clearer sense of direction as a fan if everything is already in place as opposed to releasing a single, going "oh that didn't work, back to phase one!” and then redoing it like Living For The Weekend, even though that resulted in a 10/10 album, it still isn't ideal.
I’m ready for her Fight Song. (No I’m not.)
The fact that she's been (seemingly) recording consistently is a good sign, though. A spring single release would be ideal - it'd suit her perfectly.
I am good and alive so that's a plus I think.
How ARE you though? Are you ready for #2016?
Hey, fave <3
I bet you say the same thing to the other 3 women on Popjustice :'( </3
jk, love u <3
Well to some people the lyrics aren't what really makes a song but they definitely assist in making all four tracks 10/10 for myself personally. But I do hope you give them more time!
Nooooo Free, Traveling Song, Here Is Home, and New Constellations are fucking brilliant! You need to spend more time with them. Her lyricism on those tracks especially is unmatched. All four tell such dramatic stories, and her vocals are top notch.
Literally every song of hers is flawless and it's impossible to say which is a favourite. It was my favourite from the EP (bar OctaHate which is obviously like a 31/10) but as the whole album I just love every single song. It's mindblowing to have an album that is so absolutely perfect. I'm thrilled that you're acquainted with Ryn because it just makes you that much more amazing which I didn't think was possible.
Even if you don't PM the commentary... your general commentary, opinions, etc. during the reveal is life giving! Buy the Stars is amazing, I gave it a 9. Trust me, not to inflate my ego (I'm honestly not for that) but my commentary is extraordinary for every Marina song, whether I love it or not. It'll be a good read, stay tuned.
Awww looks like we are destined to bump heads in this rate a bit too! My scores for Sex Yeah and Obsessions are 5.5 and 6 (two of my lowest scores in the rate ). You're still flawless though and I can't wait to read your opinions in that rate! You always have excellent points and I consider you one of the voices of The Saturdays as far as having extensive knowledge...it's uncanny. xoxo
GOOD! Most of my 10's went to her "basic" stuff, but I also love my fair share of the indie stuff too. "I'm A Ruin" grabbed my 11 from older favorites "Hollywood" and "Primadonna" ... "How to be..." is one of the 10's
