After previewing new material at festivals this summer their second album should be due some time next year.
They have just recently curated a Bugged Out compilation featuring a brand new track "Stay Here" featuring Azari and Ill. It's an 80s house inspired strutathon and they are giving it away free on their website too!

I want to watch Ed Macfarlane shake his money maker to this.

I hope this guys don't all psychedelic / we don't want our songs to be famous kind of shit like MGMT, or just plain boring like Klaxons and they deliver with their new album. I love their debut album.

They are working with Paul Epworth, that's a good sign.

I bet this will be amazing. This and Cut Copy's new album are two of my most awaited new albums of the year.

They did about 4 new songs at the LED Festival. They sounded pretty same old same old, but this one-off track has got me wet!

The Bugged Out track is brilliant! I'm going to check out the comp after I've finished listening to Stay Here...

I found the Bugged out mix pretty nice (reminds me a lot the La Roux Sidetracked album), with some tunes I didn't know I really like. Good on them, and this new song with Azari & III is quite nice. I'm also looking forward to a second album. I bought the first one without knowing anything apart Paris, and it's actually the last time I discovered from the beginning to the end a really nice album.

Those are good, but more Lovesick and White Diamonds like songs too please.

I only want 'Strobe's and 'Jumping In The Pool's.

It pleases me greatly that Friendly Fires are a Popjustice-friendly act, although now I think about, no reason why they wouldn't be. I frigging love them. Stroking Ed Mcfarlane's sweaty arm remains one of the best moments of my life (now sounding very stalkerish). As you may have now guessed, I'm looking forward to this album.

Aw, I was hoping their cover of Stranglelove would be included.

    Love the cover art though.

    Very excited about this.

  18. Re: Friendly Fires - Pala (2nd Album Discussion)

I hope they don't suffer the second album blues much like every other 'indie' act that was around at the same time.

  19. Re: Friendly Fires - Pala (2nd Album Discussion)

Well this time Paul Epworth is producing the whole thing. I think it will be a masterpiece.

This second album needs to be amazing, so that I have some amazing new songs to enjoy at Reading in the Summer.
