  3. X (2007)

    Released on 21 November 2007

Work on the album began following Minogue's gradual recovery from breast cancer and subsequent radiotherapy treatment. The album introduced new American and European producers including Bloodshy & Avant, Guy Chambers, Calvin Harris and Freemasons.

The album was nominated for a BRIT Award for International Album in 2008, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album in 2009, Minogue's fifth Grammy Award nomination. According to The Times, the album had sold one million copies worldwide as of December 2008.

    Aphrodite (2010)

    Released on 30 June 2010.

Aphrodite follows a musical approach largely similar to Minogue's previous albums and is primarily a dance-pop and disco record. It draws influences from various dance-based genres including electropop, hi-NRG, club and rave music.

Commercially, Aphrodite was a success. In Minogue's native country Australia, it peaked at number two on the Australian Albums chart, and was later certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association. In the United Kingdom, the album debuted at number one on the UK Albums chart, a feat accomplished by Minogue's debut studio album Kylie (1988) during the same week 22 years prior. Aphrodite was the fourth studio album by Minogue to peak atop the UK albums chart and made her the first solo artist to have a number one album in four different decades in the region, achieving this in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. She also became a Guinness World Record-holder for achieving the most consecutive decades with top five albums in the United Kingdom.

    Kiss Me Once (2014)

    Released on 14th March 2014

The album is Minogue's first release under Warner Music Group worldwide, after the company purchased Parlophone. In North America, it was released by Warner Bros. Records, while in the United Kingdom under Parlophone.

Upon its release, Kiss Me Once was met with mainly positive reviews from music critics, many whom complimented Minogue's return to mainstream dance music and felt it lived up to expectations.

Commercially, Kiss Me Once had performed moderately worldwide. In Minogue's native Australia, the album entered at number one on the Australian Albums Chart, becoming her fourth number one album. In the United Kingdom, the album faced strong competition with George Michael's Symphonica, which eventually went to number one with Minogue at number two on the UK Albums Chart.

    Released September 11th 2015

Kylie + Garibay is Minogue's second collaboration album with Mexican–American record producer Fernando Garibay and started recording in February 2015.

Originally set with four tracks, Kylie + Garibay features three tracks all co-written by Minogue. The first track, "Black and White" featuring Jamaican recording artist Shaggy experimented with UK garage and 90s techno. An accompanying video for the song directed by Katerina Jebb was released in September 2015.

    Kylie Christmas (2015)

    Released on 13th November 2015

Following the release of her twelfth studio album, Kiss Me Once, Minogue announced her departure with Parlophone, and her management deal with American label, Roc Nation. Minogue signed an exclusive one-album deal with Parlophone to release Kylie Christmas, with distribution rights with her Australian labels Warner Music Group and Mushroom Records. A Christmas music album consisting thirteen songs and three bonus tracks, Kylie Christmas contains both cover versions and original songs.

Kylie performed a one-off concert show held at entertainment venue Royal Albert Hall, London, on 11th December to mark the release of the album.

So listen and enjoy the tracks, rate them 0-10, half points included. Also remember you have the one 11, so choose wisely... As previous voters know, commentary is always welcome and appreciated.

I hope you enjoy this third part of the Kylie discography rate!

  4. Hurrah! It's happening!

I already feel jealous of everyone who will get to experience Tightrope for the first time.

  5. Jesus christ on a bike that was exhausting just doing that!

Amazing. Amazing. Now I just have to take a month off life to listen to all those.

  7. This is so much work for you to undertake and it's easy for us to forget that while we are bitching about Body Odour. Thanks for doing this and good luck with it all, it's going to be so much fun! Can't wait to see your artwork too, it's always so good.

  8. Right, so voting will officially open 1st January (Viva likes to slip in early) and it'll stay open for 7 weeks... so basically right now all together you have two months to get through these tracks and slag/love them to your heart's content!

    VivaForever and Island like this.
  9. Would it be alright/easier for you if I did one album and commentary at a time and sent that to you, one a week? The thought of doing it all at once is making me come out in a cold sweat!

  10. Whatever you want, take your time.

  11. I am so ready for this. I will be slain immensely. Let it come!

If I love a remix of a song way more than the original version, am I allowed to rate the remix version for myself and explain it in the commentary? Please say yes, because this queen has some awesome remixes. The best of alltime perhaps!

  12. Ray

    Ray

Let's face it, I'm not going to rate the BALLAD version of White Diamond...

  13. This is a "tad" too much music I think.

  14. I was able to do my preliminary scores over a two-night period. It actually went faster than the other parts, because I know all of these albums so well. The commentary (which I actually am going to do for this part) will be a bit of a beast, though...

  15. So again, my list of potential 11s:

  16. If you swap Skirt and Mr President we just about agree on everything. Kylie twins once more!

I will be very interested to see how Skirt does. It is the very definition of Marmite - I can't imagine anyone "quite liking" it. It is, of course, an abomination.

  17. I'm going to be in literal Pop Heaven over Christmas and into the new year.

  18. Fixed that for you sis.

Island, DrinkMyTears and Ray like this.
  19. I like both actually I like a lot of songs you intend on dragging except Cosmic and AAAAAA because they deserve to be dragged.

  20. I just noticed I Believe In You in @Mikey1701's drag list! Ooh, controversial!

(I've never been much of a fan, it's a 6/10 at best and she has since improved on and perfected that sound)
