  1. I couldn't find an existing thread for this group...

Here's the video for 'Wasting My Young Years'

    Amazing.

    Also...

    Metal & Dust
    Hey Now
Darling Are You Gonna Leave Me

Amazing. They also feature on the Disclosure album. And look like this:

  2. Would it be fair to describe them as a more soulful (and better) The xx?

  3. They were playing at the House Festival yesterday in Richmond but I missed them. I'll check them out ...

  4. I really, really like them so far, but the music doesn't do things to me quite as much as The xx. I suppose it's all a matter of opinion.

Was gutted to miss them at Glasto though - was just a shame they were on at the same time as Azealia and Ben Howard.

I've always preferred their remixes to their earlier songs, so I was waiting for something to pique my interest a bit more. Which is exactly what, Wasting My Young Years did.

You forgot their latest release, Itty . Which is also, quite good!

  6. They're quite good. I was surprised there wasn't already a thread around here somewhere.

  7. Thanks. This is also great.

The xx lack in melody and great vocals, which is what London Grammar are delivering for me in spades. There's also definite shades of Massive Attack, Sia and... something else.

    Eagerly anticipating this release.

  8. I just heard "Strong" on Radio 2 a few minutes. I am floored. What an utterly gorgeous melody and vocal. I just listened to "Wasting My Young Years" and I love that too.

    I'm obsessed!

Their album is my 2nd most anticipated this year. Want so bad!
Darling Are You Gonna Leave Me = the song of songs.

Easily one of the best things to come out this year.

  11. Their release with Disclosure is absolutely wonderful.

  12. The video for "Strong":

  13. I ignored them because of their name, even though I should have learned from my previous mistake (CocknBullKid - still so many people will never know how 100% amazing her album is).

Anyway, yeah, the deluxe edition of the album will have six bonus tracks.

I like the lion hair on two out of three members there.

(Also one day I'll work out what exactly it is about The xx that offends me so.)

  14. You can preview and download Interlude from the album on iTunes.

  15. Their image is a mess (the Frankie Coccozza Generic Indie Boy looking one needs a makeover) but the singer's vocals are utterly flawless.

  16. Because they've yet to write a decent melody?

  17. The singer has the same voice as I Blame Coco.

  18. The album is sublime!!

  19. It's steaming here: http://www.londongrammar.com/ifyouwait/

An absolute bloody triumph of an album. A massive amount to digest, but the title track & Sights are my standouts upon first listen.
