Poor Pepsi & Shirlie
I propose for next round:
1) the option to score songs entirely with cat gifs
2) the ability to give one entry per ballot a fixed number of negative points (to avoid the...antics of this round) - say -3 or -5
Suggested cat gif for 2):
We won't need (2) if @send photo keeps his instincts in check next time.
I still can't believe Uncle Fucker was entered, let alone received points.
It is a shame I once entered this in the regular contest; I think it would have performed much better here in the PJOPS where people know how to properly appreciate filth.
It even got a 12, which neither of our bronze medallists (Bardeux and Loose Ends) managed in the whole round!
Without that 12 (from @berserkboi) it would have finished 35th instead of 24th.
Then again, 50% of the points @berserkboi received were from @send photo, and without those points @berserkboi would have been tied for the record of lowest-scoring entry ever...
Actually, here's the breakdown of who received the most 12s, 10s and 8s:

#unloved. It's like the GB medals table from the 1980s.
You gave Chanté and JoJo points, and you wanted to submit a Deborah Cox song. There is obviously taste in there somewhere.
Yeah for the mutual love @send photo! If only the intensity were the same...
This describes every relationship I've ever been in and is why I don't date anymore.
So for next round I was considering going with live performances as theme. Would it be easy enough to find songs/performances to submit? It wouldn't have to be a video of the performance, audio would be fine as long as it's obviously live.
Oh god, I hate live performances. Whenever they're submitted in an OPS, I always think "pity this isn't a studio recording".
Not to say it's a bad theme idea, but I really don't personally like them.
Is lip-syncing OK?
Only if you're Patti.
I've just looked up a few possible entries and invariably it's low-quality audio - usually because the artist wasn't big enough to release their own live DVD or CD, and also because pre-2000 live performances on YouTube that have been taped off a TV show somewhere tend to sound really muddy.
I think I'll struggle to find a good enough audio track by an obscure enough artist.
I dislike this enough when it's an audio version. Blame my OCD, but low-quality clips always spoil things for me. I could probably do with taking a break from the OPS anyway, so skipping a round wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
And I still managed joint 3rd!
Yeah, the worries you guys echoed were my concerns as well. Back to the drawing board!
(I'm open to suggestions. And bribes.)
