Higher Places should be Perfect Places and what song from A Seat At The Table won? x
OOPS. It obviously was Cranes in the Sky.
YAAAAAAS, Kumi herself hosted the rate. When will your faves?
Omg. I am such a mess. I will fix it soon.
I made a playlist by the way.
Work From Home, 2 On, and 4Ever are my 11 candidates thus far.
Just to let you know it was a solo rate in which Lauren's Strangers won @Sprockrooster, just in case the singles part confuses anyone.
Editted everything. Let me pay more attention for future winners to put it down correctly.
Also Too Little Too Late, Rolling in the Deep, Buttons, You Look So Fine, 212, and Colors of the Wind are easy 10s.
32 winners so far and last year had 73 songs Ddd
This is mainly due to the kpop-forum I guess.
Last year had 6 K-Pop songs and this year already has 6, don't blame this on us!
No. It is a good thing! I absolutely adore the diversity this list so far is bringing us. It almost lacks straightforward pop but seems to pick up other genres easily.
Are we definitely doing the next winner's rate in Eurovision-style?
I would say yes and we should wait until we have at least 50 songs.
Re: Pages of discussion about changing the rules about hosting rates and completing them.
The most recent winners rate also has the bulk of the winning songs from the first half of 2017 to be fair. I think it runs once someone decides there have been enough new rates rather than just doing it every year.
Also I think if songs were in a winners rate, they should only be ineligible for the very next one. By the time the third one comes around, there will be a very different voter base that there was for the first one, and it'll have been a long time. I don't see any reason for them to be ineligible forever.
I quite like having songs be ineligible to feature in a winner's rate a second time though. It keeps it from feeling like deja vu but if enough people want that to change maybe there could be a rule for that implemented.
