Is this a good moment to mention "Vogue" shocked everyone by winning the Billboard #1s rate?

  2. I live in the alternate universe where En Vogue pulled off the upset.
  3. Take me with you
  4. I actually really do like Vogue, I just wanted the upset victory.

If I pick the theme for my February charts that I’m currently debating, you may not wish for this any longer.

  6. Out of curiosity, would people be interested in an En Vogue singles rate? They’ve had only 26 singles so it would be an easy rate to participate in.

(Clearly I won’t be running it just yet, but if there’s interest I’m happy to pick up the idea on my next go round, or for someone else to run it.)

  8. If you wanted to mix up with another band that has few singles from a similar era to extend - maybe BOYZ II Men, TLC or SWV?
  9. Or Eternal, who were literally called the British En Vogue.

  11. I would be!

Noooo, Eternal and En Vogue both deserve their own 11.

  12. I do like Eternal (and Power of a Woman has possibly the best harmonies in British girl group history) but I never really thought of them as being like En Vogue genre-wise. Wasn’t Eternal basically a pop band rather than an R&B group in the vein of SWV and En Vogue?

  13. Well, Wikipedia lists them as R&B/Soul at least (and also has the "British En Vogue" bit). I don't really remember much of their material so I can't really say if it's mostly actually Pop or not.
