The 90's Billboard #1s Rate: 1990-1994 - AND WE ARE DONE

Discussion in 'Charts, rates etc' started by Ironheade, Nov 6, 2017.

  1. What about poor Paula, living in a city that's only outlined in pen, for god's sake.
  2. Label budget cuts, I suppose.
  3. Furthermore, she's living in a city where lecherous bipedal cats sexually harass her.
  4. It could be worse.

  5. Little known fact:

MC Skat Cat died young and destitute in that same city in 1996 after his pop rap career failed to take off - a consequence of his well documented penchant for all night partying, fast living and heavy smoking.
  6. There are too many 10s in this rate. I need to be harsher don't I?

Four. I almost only gave 3. I do try to find some redeeming features of most music.

  10. That seems about right. I think you're doing okay.
  11. Finally submitted my scores. I think it's the most 10's I've ever given in a rate. Can't wait for this to kick off!

  12. I don't think I'll give a zero, even to Informer.

  13. Really?

  14. There are 5-6 songs here I don't recognize by their title, and this is one of them. I suppose there could be a zero, but I tend to give that score to a song I know and hate. Not something I hear, and don't care for.

  15. It's a touching tribute to Postman Pat.

  16. He called it "The Postman Song" because it induces the urge to go postal.
  17. Does he deliver a great vocal?

    Are the lyrics on-message?

Who did it knock off #1?

    Were there signed copies?

  18. For a second there I thought that was like the FAST thing for when someone's having a stroke.

Anyway, [Jim Bowen voice]let's take a look at what you could have won[/Bowen]

This song was number 2 when Stevie was number one.
  19. I far preferred Bette's song.

A surprise #1 on my personal chart for 2 weeks in mid 91.

  20. This is why Stevie gets a zero from me.
