Tracks not released as a single appreciation thread

Discussion in 'K-pop' started by D is for Danger!, Oct 12, 2012.

  1. Singles are usually considered to be the best tracks on an album, but that's not always the case. There's usually a gem or two to be found on an album and they are often greater than the singles.

I thought it would be a great idea to start a thread about your favourite tracks that never got their chance to shine in the spotlight. I'll post a few that I enjoy just to get the ball rolling.

One & One: Still the best thing T-ara have ever recorded in my opinion.

G.N.O: I posted the live version solely for the crazy loud fan chants.

SuperB: Another great track from their Wonder World album.

Rider: I really like Step, but this one was better.

Tonight: I'm a sucker for an 80s throwback!

Rainbow's I Believe should have been their debut single if you ask me. it's miles better from Gossip Girl.

  3. INVITATION. It is ALL you will ever need.

  4. Dal(star)Shabet's Shakalaka defines this thread.
Rainbow Trousers and McQueer like this.

This instead of 'Pop Pop Pop'. Reminds me of old early 2000 rnb jams.

Not a different song, but a different version of 'Longer' by Chi Chi. The way the acoustics slowly progress into the original dance beat words can express my enjoyment...

  6. Never heard that Kara song 'Rider' before but I really like it!

I wish SNSD had released 'Trick' somewhere!

  7. Cotton Park likes this.

  10. Pretty much every other song on 2NE1's first mini.

I mean if you're going to go for a slower track for your second single why not just choose this jam?

  11. THANK YOU.

In The Club is one of the best songs they've ever recorded.
  12. Would Dilly Dally count? I know it was released with After School's Lady Luck single as a B-side. It should have just had a proper release.

I quite like 4Minute's Get On The Floor (I'm not sure if I got the title right). The last time I heard it, I thought it was strong enough to be a title track, or at least a song they can perform together with their lead single during the comeback stages. But as usual, it's one of those 'intro songs' we all wished were full songs.
  14. I never knew this existed. I'm hooked! Thanks.

It should've been a full track. It's better than some of the other songs on the mini.
  15. The brilliant 'No More' by Spica. In fact, I still listen to their whole debut mini. Every song is solid.

One of the best debut mini albums in Kpop imho.
  16. Its a crime Wonder Girls never released G.N.O and 2NE1 In The Club sigh

My favorite 2NE1 song out of everything they ever released.

    Let's keep this thread going.
  19. Wonder World had so many great songs that deserved to be singles, but Stop!, Sweet Dreams and Me, In were the most deserving. Every last one of them needed to be a single.
  20. YES YES YES. I think they could have been bigger Kpop stars if they had released this as a single instead of Pink Rocket (which I also love).

It's so aggressively fun and cute but not too cloying.
