"A future outside of the EU blah blah blah..."
Nothing I agree with anyhow.
Apologies if this has been posted but this duet with Emmelie de Forest is stunning.
Lucie Jones is such a talent - I really hope she does well.
Good luck UK! It's the best you've sent to Eurovision in years!
This will be top 5 tonight!
Well that went well.
I only hope Lucie can get a record deal after her beautiful performance.
Or at least a huge bump in her career in musicals (I mean, she's already in Rent but as I've never seen it I don't know if being "Maureen" is a career highlight or not).
She sang the hell out of that song and was the best vocalist of the night. The song has really grown on me since I first heard it at the UK selection.
Now to see how much the UK public actually buys and streams it in the coming week.
Lucie did a great job, she should be very proud of herself.
The important thing is that it won't be her result that is remembered (unlike pretty much every other UK entry), but how great her vocals and staging were. I think that's a victory in itself.
It wasn't my style of song but I think it was our second best entrant in the last 20 years (since Imaani). The best being last year obviously. I loved that Coldplay-lite pop song but the staging last year was terrible.
Next year we should send Saara Aalto.
At least then we'd be guaranteed to come second.
Her career in musicals is pretty impressive so far. She has been in leading roles in Les Miserables, Legally Blonde, Ghost, Rent... She isn't Idina Menzel yet, but she has played amazing lead roles for her age.
She'll come second for sure.
It'll just be in the UK national final.
Isn't Saara Aalto going to be the Finnish entrant next year?
Yes, apparently she was in the running for both but clearly Finland won.
