I couldn't find a thread for one of my favorite shows, so here it is. Special mention to Karen Walker for being one of the best characters of all time.

Please post your favorite moments here, such as:

"Which lever do I pull to be crushed by a safe?"

    "FYI: I hurt too!"

"Good Lord. I can't believe I'm at a public pool. Why doesn't somebody just pee directly on me?"

"Is that a new Members Only jacket you're wearing?"

Couldn't help but notice those are all Karen Walker quotes, but, what are you gonna do.

  2. "Hi Grace. Who's your daddy?
His name is Martin Adler. "

"Anastasia Beaverhousen. Anastasia, like Russian royalty. Beaverhousen, like... where the beavers live. "

"Husbands come and go, but the Chanel sling-back is forever!"

    I LOVE W&G!

  3. I adore this show.

The moment that sticking in my head at the moment is where Grace finds a porno film which Karen stars in and when she shows her, Karen goes towards the window and Grace thinks she's going to jump out of it but in fact she's just grabbing a bottle of vodka that's sitting on the window sill.

  4. The last episode was so sad. I didn't cry, because I'm not a pussy, but it certainly made me a little depressed for a few hours afterwards.

Of course, Karen was the star of the show, but now I can only ever see Megan Mullally as her. I watched 'In The Motherhood' when it was on and I just sat there thinking "SAY SOMETHING LIKE KAREN!"

There are far too many moments with her to pinpoint just a few, but I'd have to say my favourite episodes are the one where Grace has a freckle frozen on her face and then has to go on a date, my favourite bit being the scene that goes like:

Karen: "What's going on? What's with the geisha hand?"
Grace: "I had a weird freckle blasted and it's kinda funky and I don't want anybody to see."
    Karen: "Show me."
    Grace: "No."
    Karen: "Come on, show me."
*Grace moves her hand and shows Karen, Karen screams and falls to the floor*
    Grace: "KAREN, CALM DOWN."
Karen: "HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO CALM DOWN WHEN I CAN SEE IT'S HEART BEATING RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE?! ...Lord... How long have you had the herpes for?"

My other favourite episode is the one where Will and Grace go to Will's parents' anniversary dinner and Jack and Karen have to walk up about 100 flight of stairs. When Jack realises that he has left the cake on the steps about 60 floors down (he put it down to pull Karen's pants down)

Jack: "How did you manage to become afraid of elevators anyway?"
Karen: "I'll never forget it. My fellow office workers and I were heading down to lunch, and, suddenly... The lights went out, the elevator dropped, and... Dennis Hopper said he would kill us all if his demands weren't met. I thank God Keanu Reeves was there to get us out." [cries.]
Jack: "Karen, that wasn't you, that was the opening scene of Speed!"
Karen: "Oh. You know, that movie was not at all what was advertised. You think you're going to see a feel-good movie about amphetamines, and, suddenly, you're on a bus?"

    I MISS IT SO MUCH.

  5. Megan Mullally will never top Karen. It upset me that they ended the series the way they did - they made the possibility of a reunion of some kind almost impossible. It's a shame, Karen was a once in a lifetime character.

"Oh, how sweet. A gay man living with his mother. Would you like me to preheat the oven, or you wanna just jump right in?"

  6. "Honey you say potato, i say vodka!", always summed up Karen for me.

  7. The show started to go a little down hill towards the end but it was still great. My favourite line is actually from Madonna:

"This is everybody's favourite top on me!"

  8. You know it's a good show when both Madonna and Britney have played parts in it. (J.Lo too I guess)

  9. Wasn't a big fan at the time - loved the idea of Karen and Jack but found the reality a bit irritating. I also thought Will was a total bore, I never warmed to him. I think Grace was/is my favourite, love her physicality.

However, even though i'm not a big fan i've come to realise that each episode has a ton of brilliant lines.

PS. I loved Madge on this show!

  10. That's my favourite one, too!

I loved the live show, especially when Grace was almost about to laugh out lout at a Jack comment.

  11. I can't believe no one has mentioned Rosario yet! I love her relationship with Karen.

  12. Grace is quizzing Karen on why she didn't give her a loan for a new business venture....

Karen: Because...Karen Walker helps people. You know, I was just a scared single mom working in a factory, trying to put food on the table, but when I heard about the barbaric conditions in our workplace, I knew something had to be done. I didn't even care how management was gonna brutalize me. No. I stood up on that table, I rang that bell, and I said 'Union! Union! Union!'
Grace: No that wasn't you... that was Norma Rae.

  13. That was intentional as far as I know.

  14. Love the ep where Will and Grace accidentally buy Sandra Bernhard's flat.

  15. How did it end? I never saw it.

  16. Grace: Mum can I take you to see my therapist because he thinks i'm making you up.

I've really tried to love Will & Grace but every episode just seemed to be four people being mean to each other for half an hour. I do like it, but I'll never be a huge fan.

  18. I LOVED this. Loved whenever Grace tried to sing - and Debra Messing usually had to disguise a laugh at least once per episode, amazing.

    Karen was the best though.

"Honey I just drank breakfast! Gotta give the liver a little time to digest!"

  19. I'm pretty much the same really. I'll watch it if it's on but really - their voices! My ears can only take so much!

  20. My uncle once blasted "Why would anyone want to watch a show filled with Americans and queers?"
