    The Reissue Thread!

Will be great to get all those radio edits (CD3) I'll probably buy the vinyl set too - as I have bought all PSB albums on vinyl to date. Think the black is cheaper than the white.

Now That's What I Call Music (Nostalgia)

I think that was 2000. The 2005 Now Xmas was 3CD

I put 1,000 of my CDs in binders. The jewel cases were boxed up and put in the attic.

    The Reissue Thread!

I missed that the time - went for this one, which was a big chunk of my summer job wages https://www.discogs.com/release/43501-Various-The-History-Of-The-House-Sound-Of-Chicago

I think that I Am Not A Dog On A Chain was his best album since Maladjusted.

Now That's What I Call Music (Nostalgia)

I wouldn't worry too much about the black / grey trays from Now 29 onwards. However Now 10 - 28 in a slim case would be a big no-no for me. They're meant to come in a fatbox with 1/ Front inlay 2/ Back inlay 3/ Booklet If they're in slim cases then it's highly likely that the front inlay is...

    The Reissue Thread!

There's an argument that reissues shouldn't be reviewed in advance of release...... It's fine for new albums but I'd prefer to read a reissue review a few weeks after the event. Alexis' review is very good and a cut above the likes of Classic Pop ones. But I do see where the people are coming from.

    The Reissue Thread!

Robert Palmer box set reviewed by Alexis Petridis on SDE. It's a good review but quite a few people are rightly commenting on the lack of detail re sound quality. It's important when reviewing reissues and box sets that the focus shouldn't just be on the album(s) - chances are the people buying...

Discogs v Ebay Ebay has photos but Discogs has more accurate grading and sellers tend to package better - all IMHO.

Now That's What I Call Music (Nostalgia)

I am very fond of Now 22 as it really sums up that summer well. Fond memories of putting on a few club nights, new girlfriend etc. CD2 looks like it ran out of steam but in its defence, there's a few long-ish tracks on it. In terms of the weaker ones from the 20s - Now 24 and Now 25 are quite...

Now That's What I Call Music (Nostalgia)

If you take Now 44 as a cut-off point (last one of the 1990s and last one reviewed on my site), I think that Now 42 is the weakest of the entire run. I know some people think Now 40 has that dubious crown but that's redeemed by the greatest 1-2 punch ever of You Make Me Feel Like Dancing and...
