    Anyone going to Manchester tonight?

    The Pussycat Dolls

Melody being evicted from The Masked Singer and managing to share again in her 30 second elimination speech that she was the only non-trained dancer in PCD...enough!

    Doctor Who

The specials have led me to cherry pick some episodes to watch from the original RTD episodes and honestly...what an iconic era for the show. So many classics! The profile the show had at the time was insane too. Freema really was terrible at times though. I've seen Freema acting in other...

Girls Aloud - What Will the Neighbours Say? (Mar 8) + General Discussion

It's funny to view Chemistry as a concept album when a cover of See The Day is slap bang in the middle of it.

    Doctor Who

I've reread The Writer's Tale this holiday season and it's such a great insight into the later tenure of Russell T Davies' time on the show. Despite its faults, the 2005-2010 era was so iconic and something special was lost when Russell left. Something that jumped out at me upon rereading was...

Dua Lipa - "Training Season" + 3rd Album

It's been weeks and I'm still obsessed with her pronunciation of HoudEEni.

Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show (2024 Tour)

I think the girls in 2012 just loved that there was a Girls Aloud song that wasn't produced by Brian with Nadine pushed all the way to the back. Hopefully the girls in 2024 will rightfully see it a misstep that doesn't need to be celebrated as part of a retrospection of their back catalogue.

Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show (2024 Tour)

Do we have a figure of how many people they'll end up performing for if all dates are sold out? And a rough percentage of how many seats they've sold so far?

Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show (2024 Tour)

Cheryl from Girls Aloud and Cheryl the solo singer sound completely different on record. Brian really knew how to channel her potential into something great and use her voice sparingly for maximum effect.

Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show (2024 Tour)

Kimberley sounded good on the Ten tour. Well, she definitely improved at least which was a low bar to clear.

Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show (2024 Tour)

They really did fumble things for their brand in 2009 by taking the break when they did. The potential tour in 2010 probably could have been a stadium one given how well the Out of Control tour did. Only Nicola really wanted to carry on in 2009 though so...a group can't tour if the members don't...

Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show (2024 Tour)

Maybe the success of the tour in 2024 will help them book a bigger Glastonbury slot in 2025. The number of dates is staggering. I know their impact was very localised to the UK which was seen as a limitation at the time but it’s kind of helped them come back with such success as they’re so...

Girls Aloud - What Will the Neighbours Say? (Mar 8) + General Discussion

Tangled Up is brilliant from start to finish. The only thing I would indulge is a slight reshuffling of the track list as an extended version of Sexy! being the opening song would have been iconic. Crocodile Tears is great. I actually think it's one of the few songs where Nadine sort of fades...

Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show (2024 Tour)

Girls Aloud really did define a generation in a way separate to their peers I would say. Your mum bought their new album every year, their songs played at your primary school discos, they were inescapable every few months on TV promoting their newest single on whatever show would have them...I...

See The Day is much better than I’ll Stand By You.

Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show (2024 Tour)

Seeing them as a four piece has an extra layer of tragedy because they were just so professional in their original ten (ish) year run. For a decade, despite the fact there was friction at times and they weren't all the best of friends, they managed to put on a united front 99% of the time to...

Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show (2024 Tour)

I think playing Sarah's vocals will depend on the song. It makes sense for the big moments like The Promise / Something New but I imagine it would be a bit jarring for a song like Love Machine where the solos can be so short and kind of overlap.

Girls Aloud - What Will the Neighbours Say? (Mar 8) + General Discussion

I wonder how the 2012 reunion would have worked out had Cheryl not been fired from X Factor USA and she started working over there for her solo career. Part of me thinks she would have done something with the group out of loyalty to Nicola and Kimberley but it would have been hard to juggle a...

    Britney Spears

I've listened to Blackout a lot since reading the book due to Britney's adoration of it and honestly...I can hear god.gif. Everything is just so immaculately produced; each song is bulletproof. The fact the trifecta of Toy Solider - Hot As Ice - Ooh Ooh Baby just casually exists unbothered...
