All Important Single Edits On CD

Hi All RE: The Cure A Forest 3min 55sec (Best Pop Songs Ever Polygram Netherlands) Just bought this. While this matches the length of the 7", I don't think it is it. Second verse is omitted along with the instrumental passage before the third verse. The original mix faded on the guitar solo

Is it possible to truly like the music… but despise the artist?

Very easy for me. I have no difficulty in separating the artist from their views.

For many years I have believed that the album run from Dirty Mind to Lovesexy is the best by anybody ever.

Now That's What I Call Music (Nostalgia)

Sounds like the version on the original Now 11 which as far as I recall was the later remix. The original 7" is 3:50 or so. It's about 40 seconds shorter on the Extra / Now 11.

    Compilation Series We have Loved...

Hot Hits had stopped by that point but Pye Chartbusters was still going. Don’t see any 1974 volumes starting with January though.

Now That's What I Call Music (Nostalgia)

That 1982 Part 2 is light on rare tracks albeit The Mood is top If the 12" just had an album version then I'd prefer of it wasn't included on such compilations. If there never was a proper 12" to begin with (Island Of Lost Souls) then definitely exclude it.

    Donna Summer

Thanks! It has a different item number to the previous one so people will need to find and add to their basket.

From one extreme to another: I remember my first order with a particular US record label that had their own mail order service. Mid 2000s. Had to fill out an online form with my order and provide my home telephone number and a suitable time for a callback. The record label owner rings me that...

It's quite possible you were talking to a bot. The problem with high volume sellers is the lack of a personal touch which is needed if things go wrong or if you need a particular item checked / verified in advance.

The Mood Don't Stop isn't that common - good to see it.

2,577 negative feedbacks. It's a high volume seller which means staff with "call-centre mentality" i.e. flakey, vague, robotic and won't answer your query properly. They have no feelings.

Now That's What I Call Music (Nostalgia)

They might be holding it back for The Final Chapter 1990-1994 or its Extra.

Now That's What I Call Music (Nostalgia)

There's scope for an Extra Plus 2CD addendum to the 1990 Yearbook & Extra releases. So here it is, earlier than anticipated. CD1: 1-20 CD2: 21-41

What is a Wang Chung anyway?

Excellent read Eric. Would be good if those reissues eventually materialised.

The Early Years set (despite the repeated albums) is good - the live set is top notch.
