    Taylor Swift - 1989 (Taylor's Version) + Re-Recordings

For the rest of her re-records, a cleaner/clearer mix has been really beneficial, but with “Look What You Made Me Do” it just sands off the tiny bit of electroclash grain that made it interesting. The hi-hats sound so dull.

    Kelela - Raven + RAVE:N, The Remixes

    Chills. Just gorgeous.

    Kelela - Raven + RAVE:N, The Remixes

Yeah. It feels much more insular and the vibe she crafted is much more specific to me. Reading her interviews she’s pretty candid that it isn’t really… meant for everyone.

    Kelela - Raven + RAVE:N, The Remixes

I hate placing importance on their reviews/scoring system but all of her main projects getting BNM is pretty incredible.

    Kelela - Raven + RAVE:N, The Remixes

The production on this is so rich and detailed. Just insanely good.

    Grammys 2023

The Grammys are so raggedy. I knew I should have gone to bed early.

    M.I.A. - MATA

Her projects/worldview felt a lot more cutting edge before. She seemed like a keen observer of social trends globally and always seemed to be a few steps ahead of western media but this just feels didactic in a way her stuff usually didn't feel before and honestly a little late to the party?

Drake - For All the Dogs + General Discussion

I like the production, I think he’s just such a bad fit for this sound? The sounds and textures here aren’t as monotonous or awful as some people are claiming

    That wasn’t planned?

    Charli XCX - CRASH

I love it but this album is going sound so disjointed going from full Atlantis Cruise with "Beg For You" to Midnight Star-lite with "Baby" isn't it

    Lady Gaga - Chromatica

This one and Jimmy Edgar's version of "Babylon" are the most effective to me. I think I'm digging the ones that strip things down a little bit most.

    Kanye West - Donda 2

I might have said "Yeezus" was his pinnacle a few years ago because of how sonically forward-thinking it felt at the time it was released, but listening back through last night I can't say it's held up very well. The more distance I get from TNGHT's production schtick being hot/relevant the...

    Charli XCX - CRASH

It reminds me of “Break the Rules” in a bad way.

    Chromatics - Closer To Grey

His relationships with female artists seem creepy as hell and he sounds like a nightmare to work with. Really sad that this is the end. I imagine Glass Candy is also done.

Lana Del Rey - Chemtrails Over The Country Club

We could have had a beautiful cover shot by Neil Krug but instead we got that awful phone camera shot with a black-and-white filter? Lord.

Does anyone know the movie poster to the right?

Jessie Ware - What's Your Pleasure? (The Platinum Pleasure Edition)

Some extended/dub versions would be heavenly. I know James Ford/Morgan Geist could work some real magic with these songs.

    Lady Gaga - Chromatica

The songs are almost short enough for HitClips I guess.

    Lady Gaga - Chromatica

'911' sounds eerily like something Nakata would have done 15 years ago to me (his 'Kimi ni Mune Kyun' remix comes to mind)
