    Shaznay Lewis - Pages

Kiss of Life and Supposed to Be the initial standouts for me. As much as I appreciate her genius as a songwriter her lead vocal/tone at times grated during All Saints run however it sounds "softer" on a lot of this album which I like. Will give the album a few listens over the weekend for sure.

    Stock, Aitken & Waterman

I've always enjoyed Let's Get To It... we differ on this but I still can't love Word Is Out and No World Without You should've been swapped to b side status with the far superior Say The Word - I'll Be There... I really believe it was just a case of the sound/singles run was so great on ROL...
  3. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Stock, Aitken & Waterman

Agree with this - of all her PWL singles only this and the lacklustre Celebration get zero love from me.

    Dua Lipa - Radical Optimism

Just dropping by to say I'm pretty impressed with the album. It's a good listen start to finish - short, sharp and doesn't outstay its welcome. I've never seem Dua live but would like to remedy that this era.

Don't try to run I can keep up with you... nothing can stop me from trying!

    Madonna

The finale to the tour looked to be a triumph. Madonna reigns supreme. It was fascinating to see an unedited/united show (less distracting than some of her tour videos but also highlighted how high the backing track was in the mix and her live vocal wasn't great in all honesty) BUT that really...

    Dead Or Alive

Hey all I think I can "fix" the low vocal in the mix. I haven't got my CD or digital copy yet but leave it with me and I'll let you know how I get on. I'm not a professional but have done a lot of digital HD remasters of my own music library and got some great results using some advanced tech.

    Kim Wilde

I just went on her website and clicked the link a few days back and got an email and text this morning for pre sale (this was for London though)
  9. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Kim Wilde

I just got row D tickets for London. Can't wait to see Kim live doing the Close album. I've only seen her live once many years ago at a Xmas show but I was so drunk I barely remember it other than knowing I had a great time so looking forward to this very much (and I'll be sober this time)...
  10. WhereIsTheFeeling

    All Saints

Agreed - their voices and presence make the group. I do hope once Shaznay gets this era done the ladies do at least one more album/tour. For me, despite my stanning of so many 90s girl groups, All Saints reign supreme. And perhaps controversial but I much prefer Natalie and Mel's vocals above...
  11. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Eternal

Let's be honest the reunion is going nowhere. I did give the interview a listen out of curiosity and the host was not exactly well researched even about the music/their history and it was blindly obvious that they barely know Cristel and she has only been drafted in so visually the performances...

    Kylie Minogue - Tension

For me Tension > Golden >>>>>> DISCO I listened to Extension on vinyl at the weekend and still love the whole album. No skips from me. Golden was the refresh she needed though I do understand the country dance thing wasn't for everyone. DISCO is OK. I enjoy the singles and Supernova, Where...

    Toni Braxton

I'm no Billboard Hot 100 expert but the 90s/00s was often when US labels didn't release proper singles physically to push album sales so perhaps that was a factor?
  14. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Toni Braxton

It does all seem very strange that she went from being perhaps one of the biggest female singers of that time to flopping in the space of months when her music was still pretty amazing! I still adore her voice and the majority of her music.
  15. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Stock, Aitken & Waterman

You may be right but in my mind it was for Don't You Want Me Baby and she was younger and also wore the black hat... perhaps I'm dreaming... who knows! (The reason I thought it was earlier than 95 is I was unfamiliar with Mandy until the 1989 single release)
  16. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Stock, Aitken & Waterman

Maybe my memory playing tricks but I thought she did do a TV performance in 1989 on This Morning when it was based in Liverpool? And outdoor one?
  17. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Toni Braxton

Did they flop though? Or did they not get full releases in the UK? I recall some shambles with Spanish Guitar on import being the only way to get the dance mixes for a time?
  18. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Stock, Aitken & Waterman

Question/Request for SAW fandom? Does anyone have all the Pat and Mick singles both single and extended mixes in at least CD quality? The instrumental b sides too? I am keen to put together remastered versions in 24 bit HD but can't source semi decent full versions of all? If you can help DM...
  19. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Stock, Aitken & Waterman

I get that but the fact they commissioned a remix by Steve Silk Hurley who was hot at that time perhaps he could've been positioned differently... but maybe the Yell! fiasco also didn't help?
  20. WhereIsTheFeeling

    Stock, Aitken & Waterman

It seems Paul's whole short time at PWL was a mess behind the scenes... constant delays, switching the singles around last minute, multiple mixes then a lack of promo. They had a talented singer and good looking guy right there... it's a shame.
