    K-Pop (General Discussion)

Re: Korean Pop Well, BoA's the bigger 'star' in terms of she's more international due to her big success in Japan. She also seems to be one of the better known Asian popstars worldwide. However, I think 'Queen of K-Pop' would be an acceptable title for Hyori. She does seem to be the 'big' solo...

    K-Pop (General Discussion)

Re: Korean Pop That was the one! Thank you, 3Xs. In other news, have we all seen pics from Hyori's 2011 CK jeans campaign? Wowzer. She looks like a teenager (not in a creepy way).

    K-Pop (General Discussion)

Re: Korean Pop Did I imagine this or was a site posted a while back where you could legally purchase K-Pop music digitally?

    The Pussycat Dolls

Re: Pussycat Dolls 3rd Studio Album General Discussion Yawn. Regardless of their problems, PCD just clicked as a group. They were a well oiled machine for (most of) time they were around. I can't see them managing to replicate it.

CJ Holland Feat. Lady Gaga - Luv U Sum

Pfft, I'm not convinced. There's a passing resemblance in the photo. I admit that if GaGa wasn't on this song, chances are I wouldn't like it. Or like it as much.

CJ Holland Feat. Lady Gaga - Luv U Sum

I actually really like this song. This is the one that leaked a while back, right?

    Britney Spears - Femme Fatale

I know, and I totally agree with the lack of promo being the problem. I was just saying that even if she hasn't been at full capacity for years, Britney Spears isn't supposed to flop. Unless the music's diabolical, which it never is. And the thing is, there's no reason for it to flop (if it does).

    Britney Spears - Femme Fatale

I'm not suggesting Brit should leave Jive or anything but I'm pretty sure Britney Spears albums are meant to be huge hits. And up until now, most of them have been. Even one that was released when she was craaaaazy.

    Britney Spears - Femme Fatale

Re: Britney Spears - Femme Fatale {7th Album - March 2011} Really? The snippet didn't remind me of The Fame at all. It did remind me of something (that I can't seem to remember) but it definitely wasn't GaGa.

    Natalia Kills - Perfectionist (Album)

Are people seriously already throwing around 'little monster/Britard'-esque labels (and shade) at fans of a lady who hasn't even had mainstream success yet? Amazing.

    J-Pop - General Genre Discussion

If we're talking old skool, I had my first listen to Ayu's Rainbow album. Lovely. The sound is just so J-Pop (well, what I'd consider the quintessential 'J-Pop' sound) and so Ayumi, yet it has an interesting combination of genres. Hanabi is definitely one of her best ballads.

    Scream 4

Ooh, I think I'll steer clear. I'm incredibly anti-spoilers these days. I think it's related to avoiding music leaks, which I started doing because I didn't like hearing half (or all) of the album before I got the CD. It's the same thing with films now. I used to watch every clip, look at every...

    90210

Re: 90210 / Melrose Place (UK pace here) Adrianna's tranformation into a diva popstar has given the show a burst of fun, plus I love hearing Jessica Lowndes sing. She'd better put out some music at some point! Overall, I think this season's been pretty strong so far. Most of the storylines...

    J-Pop - General Genre Discussion

Oh, dear. I can see why! That actually took me a few seconds to cop on. On a lighter note, I had Kana Nishino's Distance on repeat earlier. I watched the video once, totally forgot about it for weeks then finally got round to snagging it. Lovely song. And so is the second track on the single...

    Rebecca Black

Re: Rebecca Black - "Friday" I get the feeling this was more Rebecca's idea than another case of pushy stage parents syndrome. I could be wrong, but this whole 'Ark' thing seems to be the rich people version of that thing where you send a photo of your kid's face to that video company that...

    Cassie

Surely throwing together some of the songs and sticking them on iTunes or something wouldn't have hurt? Obviously, that amount of songs shouldn't have leaked in the first place, but it's such a shame to see so much quality material going to waste.

    Cassie

I didn't necessarily mean a batch of new songs; just an official release of some of her recent material.
