    Lady Gaga - Mayhem

She's had plenty of these moments, but that is the "it can only happen on SNL" moment a lot of musical acts try to hard to get. This, Chappell doing "Pink Pony Club", and the novelty of Timothée will be the ones that will be remembered as the SNL50 performances.

Utilizing the backstage like this is so fucking cool

    Lady Gaga - Mayhem

Monologue was very charming and fun, would watch the romcom. I love her as a host and sketch performer, she's fully into it. And that performance, a highlight of the season! She's even won over the dudes on the SNL subreddit lol

    HAIM - "Relationships" + 4th Album

"Los Angeles" as the opener feels especially poignant now. It's always made me emotional in the same way Rilo Kiley's "Let Me Back In" does, but now both move me to tears.

    HAIM - "Relationships" + 4th Album

Their live performances this era were great. I wish their full performance of “The Steps” from The Grammys was on YouTube in its full length, I was obsessed with it.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX + Super Bowl Halftime Show 2025

I was listening to the NYT Popcast and they were kind of down, or meh on this and they mentioned him not performing "Alright" but never even mentioned he already performed it at the halftime show in 2022. It was a really fantastic performance so I can see why he didn't do it again, he had...

    Taylor Swift - Re-Recordings

Her WAG era has been thoroughly dispiriting, like. He's not even a once in a generation talent, he's literally just some guy with bad hair plugs.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX + Super Bowl Halftime Show 2025

He looked good, he ran through some great songs, Samuel L. Jackson as a narrator was a really interesting and inspired move for something like this, and he full on turned to the camera with a pageant smile to call Drake out. A Performer.

    67th GRAMMY Awards

If we're going to be doing the cultural impact argument then we have to admit that moment belonged to either a song, or an artist and not an album. It was "Not Like Us" and it was Chappell, full stop.

    67th GRAMMY Awards

It's kind of like Scorsese finally winning his Oscar for The Departed, like. Might not be Goodfellas, but it's still a great fucking movie.

    Saturday Night Live

Whoa, hotties on the cover much? I hope that we get to see pretty much everyone on these covers feature in the special but obviously it will be packed to the gills with people. I want a behind the scenes, First Monday in May-esque documentary with scenes of Lorne trying to figure out which cast...

Kendrick Lamar - GNX + Super Bowl Halftime Show 2025

‘dodger blue’ is amazing, the love he has for LA is one of my favorite things about him. Wish it was slightly longer though, not gonna lie!

Kendrick Lamar - GNX + Super Bowl Halftime Show 2025

He had the most dynamic performance segment at the 2022 Halftime show, so it’s an incredible choice on that alone. All the added layer of intrigue and excitement re: the feud is just kind of a cherry on top of it all.

Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department

At the end of the day, it really just is bad economics. Trying to corner even more of the market share by diluting her own product, gobbling shit up just to gobble it.

Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department

She’s what, 90% of the market and still coming for 100%? It’s very Disney. And you know the optics of her beefing with a 21 year old was bad enough when it was vague “maybe yes, maybe no” like the Olivia stuff but now with Billie is kinda nasty. Especially because back in 2019 there was such...

    Saturday Night Live

Overall a kind of rocky season, but at the end of the day my only real beef with the show is that Che and Jost are going to be staying on until season 50 when they just keep phoning it in behind the desk. They should've left by now, it's kind of awful. Starting with Ayo Edebiri the last run of...

Taylor Swift - The Eras Tour

Completely hollowing out the Folklore AND Evermore sections all in service of the Tortured Poets Department is really…dumb. Like it’s dumb! I’m so glad I went to the LA shows.

    Drake - LOSER

The numbers Kendrick's track just pulled in an hour compared to Drake's...and he's probably got like fourteen more songs ready to go if Drake tries again... It could all stop right here, Drake will still open with like insane numbers for his next album but it feels like it's just gonna get uglier.
