    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

I couldn't agree more. It sounds like a fantastic album track. One of those ones that would be a fan favourite. I'm not sure if it is something to show off to the general public.

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

It's not as instant as Freedom Of The Night or Devotion but it's very clearly a grower. I kinda like that the verses are talky/singing as she's not really done that before on a song. Overall it sounds fresh and retro at the same time.

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

I am excited for the new single on Friday. Yes, new music will be lovely but I'm hopeful we get an idea of what the album visuals, artwork and aesthetic will look like. Freedom of The Night's place holder didn't work in my opinion.

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

To be fair it's been her strongest track on streaming for a while. Freedom Of The Night has 3.7million streams in 5 months, whereas Hypnotised has 3.6million in (going on) 3 years. Hopefully the next single edges that again. I do agree though that an all out smash is unlikely.

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

I would imagine the next single will feature in the Freeman's summer advert. Sophie said in Spinning Plates this week that she was filming on Brighton beach in a swimming suit for it. "Taste" does sound like it fits that criteria!

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

If "Devotion" has been relegated to a b-side, then the body of work that makes up the album must be pretty solid. I personally think "Devotion" is one of her best songs already. Instantly catchy.

Lana Del Rey - "Bluebird" + 10th Album

Had 9,000 people in front of me but managed to get the four tickets I needed for Glasgow. £89 each, give or take whatever they add on for an aisle. When did aisle penalties become a thing?! We're a little further to the side of the stage than I would have liked but at least they're secured and...

    Katy Perry - 1432

I got two tickets for Glasgow on Ticketmaster. I'll probably get a nose bleed with how far back and high up the seats are but whatever I'm in and have paid an acceptable amount!

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

The tour certainly seems to be a tale of two halves. They team have sold tremendously on London, Liverpool, York and Oxford. But it currently appears they've misjudged the northern dates. Glasgow and Manchester seem to be swinging with availability. Maybe they'll target some promo in these areas?

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

Some updates from this week's Spinning Plates episode. 1. Upcoming music video has been directed by Sophie Muller. It was a two day shoot, so a little more extensive than any recent video. 2. The choreography has been done by Polly Bennett, who choreographed Saltburn. 3. The video is a fresh...

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

The first three are songs Sophie co-wrote for Alice Jemima. Not sure about "Green Light".

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

Sophie mentions in this week's Spinning Plates episode that the single has just come back mastered and gets sent to radio on October 18th. Video is being shot next week too.

    Nelly Furtado - 7

This doesn't appear anywhere on the midweek top 100. Surely this can't be right?

    Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Vertigo” (Apr 25) + 8th Album

There appears to be new songs registered on BMI but not any with the title "Freedom Of The Night". But the other titles which I have never seen before are; "2 Of Us", "Wasted", "Make My Night", "I'm Trying", "Life Goes On" and "Music By Numbers" Two of which are written with BiffCo. One is...

    Zara Larsson

This, also coming from the girl that tweeted that "Love Me Land" was going to go number one. If nothing else, she always believes in herself!

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Murder on the Dancefloor Re-Up" + "Ready For Your Love"

Looks more like a commercial than a music video but it's always lovely to have SEB on the telly!

    Kylie Minogue - Tension

I am neither a lover or a hater of Miss Minogue. I listen to most things she releases and there are often ones I'll put on heavy rotation. The whole Aphrodite era and Padam were brilliant moments. Unfortunately, for me, this is not one. It's quite an irritating listen. The user above that...

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Murder on the Dancefloor Re-Up" + "Ready For Your Love"

Can someone enlighten me? Who is Duck? I've googled, but it comes up with some other artists album!

    Vinyljustice 2.0

My first RSD that I actually turned up for in person. Usually I just take my gamble with the online stores. However I really wanted the Nerina Pallot one! Managed to get Nerina, Dolores ORiordan, The Cranberries and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. I forgot that Jessie Ware was something I wanted which...
