2011 US #1 Singles Rate RESULTS: WINNER!

Re: 2011 US #1 Singles Rate RESULTS: #14 (obvious)

Oh damn, I actually rated all the songs but forgot to submit my scores. I would've given Party Rock Anthem a zero, so its placing seems about right.

Give Me Everything was released on March 18th 2011 and went on to top the Hot 100 for just 1 week. It has sold 4,7 million copies since its release and ended as the fifth most successful single in the US for 2011. Pitbull, Afrojack and Nayer all got their first US #1 with Give Me Everything. (Thanks God Calle Ocho never made it to #1).

My rating: 7. Pitbull. Oh God. He is so bad at everything but he surely knows how to make a catchy song doesn't he? I admit listening to this one a lot back in 2011. And everytime I think of Pitbull I always remember that amazing Alaska Walmart thing.

Re: 2011 US #1 Singles Rate RESULTS: #13 (no black and yellow)

Gave Give Me Everything an 8 for being such a JAM.

Where is Hold It Against Me?
(#2)

Re: 2011 US #1 Singles Rate RESULTS: #13 (no black and yellow)

Of course Pitbull is vile, but Give Me Everything is better than everything on this list, bar We Found Love and Someone Like You.

Flop (I didn't vote, but that's beside the point).

Re: 2011 US #1 Singles Rate RESULTS: #13 (no black and yellow)

Give Me Everything got a 4 from me, purely because the "I might drink a little more than I should tonight" bit makes me lose my mind when I'm drunk. Ditto with Calle Ocho in 2009.

(I'm not proud of this, FYI.)

Party Rock Anthem is just a fan song. It is exactly how a fan/party song should be. Almost three years later and still everyone goes nuts when it's played in a club.

They play this in clubs?

You go to clubs that play this????

I'm proud to say that I gave this song a 0 without even listening to it. I have no idea how it goes but 100% certain it's shit.

This is going well so far. I think this is the first time I'm ever given a 0 but Party Rock Anthem absolutely deserved it. Literally nothing redeeming at all about that song.

My favorite part of "Give Me Everything" is the bit that goes "Grab somebody sexy, tell them 'hey.'" Hey? Really? If I grab somebody sexy, I'm going to say something better than hey.

Anyway, I think it's funny and catchy and I gave it a 7.

I love quite a few of Pitbull's trash jams but 'Give Me Everything' is one of his very worst. It doesn't even at least have the ""FUN"" factor some of his others do, it's just blah. And I hate Ne-Yo.

Re: 2011 US #1 Singles Rate RESULTS: #13 (no black and yellow)

I gave 'Give Me Everything' a 5 as opposed to a 2 because that pre-chorus slyly gives me life.

In Baby Clyde's defense, his assumption was 100% correct.

3 minutes though - I mean if you're gonna participate in a (15 song) rate, do it properly.
