  2. Kind of wish they stuck with the virtual moment they had last year. It really gave the show the kick in the ass it has needed for a decade.
  3. They will ruin it by going back to the same old tired shit format, last years show was the best one in ages. Oh well.
Trouble in Paradise and lushLuck like this.
  4. Last year's show was the best in a long time and they definitely had the most successful execution out of all of the major award shows in 2020...so naturally they are going back to the old format and planning a fully in-person show as the Delta Variant rages across the states.
  5. E* Sh**ran and DJ Khalid sneaking their way into VOTY over Déja Vu and Good 4 U. Bye.
  6. I’m winning social message of the year
  7. And none for DaBaby.
Uno, Island, Laurence and 3 others like this.
  8. I just hope they focus more on their performances and less on the audience reactions. So annoying.
    Trouble in Paradise likes this.
  9. I wonder whether ‘Levitating’ would be up for Video Of The Year if not for DaBaby.

‘Brown Skin Girl’ and one of the Olivia hits is also missing from Video Of The Year!

My qualm is only with the nominations - the winner has to be either Meg or Nas. Any other outcome is incorrect!

  10. Kelly Clarkson to herself when it was time to follow Breakaway up:
Island, Laurence, Jamie and 3 others like this.
  11. I know that this show Does Not Matter at all anymore. But how did they nominate Ed's Bad Habits video over Olivia's Good 4 U video? It makes zero sense.
  12. Not that Weeknd dollar tree cosplay getting a video of the year nomination, please someone rid us of that red haired menace!
  13. Confirmed performers so far include Olivia, Lil Nas X, Lorde, Machine Gun Kelly, and C*mila.

  14. 3 out of 5 isn’t bad, I suppose. Hopefully Abel, Doja, and Lizzo get booked as well

  15. RJF

I would imagine Lizzo, Shawn Mendes, and The Weeknd are waiting in the wings to be confirmed.
  16. Super excited to see what Lil Nas brings. Hopefully Doja and Normani are next to be announced. The Weeknd and Lizzo should be sure things, too.

I wasn't expecting to see Lorde listed. That's a pleasant surprise.
GimmeWork, Island, Laurence and 3 others like this.
  17. RJF

The only thing that makes me doubt Normani's inclusion is that I don't see Cardi taking the stage twice that night for features, as she'll presumably be part of Lizzo's performance. Unless she's going to launch a new single there, which... maybe wouldn't be a bad idea.
  18. Imagine how tired we are
  19. So... only one category is actually about a music video now? 8 nominees in a category? Ok then.
    GimmeWork and Island like this.
