Let's keep up our American political history by honoring the first openly bisexual United States Congressperson and now the first openly bisexual Senator
Krysten Sinema! Now please enjoy this photo of her being sworn in using a law book by known-homophobe Mike Pence:

Lowest Score: 3 x 2 (@Trouble in Paradise @Reboot)
Why don't you love me boy?
Why don't you love me girl?
Am I so hard to love?
Am I the only one?
I once again find myself in the villain's seat but now with a friend! I said this is the elimination I've dreaded the most because I know just how much
@Lost Boy loves Goldilox. I mean, have you seen her
thread!? Sinking someone's 11 is always rough but when you know the song and artist mean a lot to that listener is particularly harsh. The part I've struggled with most is that I do enjoy a lot of Goldilox's music but other than quoted section above, I really don't enjoy this song. However, as the lyrics make clear this is a pretty explicit representation of bisexuality (as well as the struggles of being single and bisexual!)
Now moving past my "breaking up is hard to do" speech, let's learn more about the wonders of Goldilox! Goldilox used to go by Kay and had an early brush with fame with her song "My Name Is Kay." She was signed to a major label but things didn't work out. She eventually got her musical freedom and began the Goldilox project. The freedom she was experiencing creatively was reflected in the freedom she saw in portraylas of the 70's disco scene. She told
Ladygunn:
This moment in time and music really spoke to me. People were claiming back their freedom through music and dance. Women had never been so strong and idolized [than] during that period in music. And on top of it all, the revolution was all about fun.
These themes of reclaiming your freedom through dance and love, women empowerment, and a fun revolution is so present within Goldilox's music. Her album
Very Best is her take on disco full of shimmering beats and celebratory lyrics. I do wonder how far she could've gone in this rate if I had included "I Love You" instead of "Decisions." A lot of voters gave "Decisions" between a 7 and an 8 but even if you were a curmudgeon like me with your score I urge you all to give "I Love You" a listen!
Another reason to get your Lost Boy on and stan Goldilox is that she's an artist doing it all on her own terms. In an interview with the blog Volareo, the interviewer said that from the outside her life seems to just be fashion shows and parties but that there must be lots of boring meetings and hard work. I loved Goldilox's answer:
Never boring. My plan was to immerse myself into anything creative. I am constantly collecting data for my next song, video or performance. My life is definitely not just fashion shows and parties… I also sleep and eat. haha .. I do whatever I feel, its no pressure on any side. If I feel like writing, I write, if I feel like drinking wine until 6 am I do that.. or if I feel like signing up for an afro-beat dance class, YOLO, choose your own adventure.
She's clearly existing well outside the machinery of a major label and her music is all the better for it! I'll wrap up here as I prepare for the wrath of Lost Boy (who will also hopefully take time to educate us more on the wonders of Goldilox on breaks from hunting down me and

Your thoughts!
First, my fellow villain and I had very similar thoughts:
Reboot Really noisy. I had to check to see if my headphones had broken because the production sounds so shrill and unpleasant. The “Why don’t you love me boy” bit is good but that’s about it.
As did frequent villain Ufint:
Ufint The last minute and a half are sublime, but that slow, dreadful start ain’t doing the song no favors.
Giving credit to her #1 fan:
Constantino I hope poor Farrah Moan got a writers credit for this. And if we’re talking about royalties, Miss
@Lost Boydefinitely deserves a cheque for the amount of promo he’s been doing around these parts.
Now some comments that make a rate host question everything:
Ana Raquel One of my best discoveries this year. I love you was a solid 10, though.
Kalonite Buy Sex Paranoia on iTunes
Giving us "it's my first rate and I feel like I need to comment on every song" Don't worry we've all been there!
The Hot Rock It was fine.
Two references I do not get:
Verandi I understand what she was aiming for but this is a bit of a mess. The extreme vocal distortion reminds me of Girls Aloud's I'm Falling (which is not a good thing).
Music is Life Mid-tempo, moody, relatable BOP. Her opening “decisions, decisions” made me think of Jane in Eclipse ddd. I love the production on this.
And lastly, our rate detective has me baffled by what I assume is a missing word?
Untouchable Ace Thrilling in a cinematic sense. Everytime I think if her aesthetic before I listen to her I get something else
