She is never going to be a Grammy darling after fighting with them over her performance in 2019 and skipping the ceremony and she doesn't bother to participate in the industry elbow-rubbing of it all.Now I wouldn't usually relate sales, hits and acclaim with how deserving a body of work is for an award, but this is the Grammys so I have to wonder what Ariana did wrong? Well, more room on the shelf for her Oscars I guess
I wonder if any academy members heard that joke "Fuck the Grammys" song she made with Tommy that leaked last year too djdjdjd.
She did seem to campaign a bit this cycle with the performance at the Grammy museum though?
Charli got 9 nominations when she released a song detailing a fictional terrorist attack at the Grammys so…

Pretty thrilled with all of the nominations, everyone got their well due noms! I'm still bummed Charli submitted Guess instead of Girl, so confusing but Billie is more of a Grammy darling so I get it.

I can maybe understand Eternal Sunshine missing an Album of the Year nom because of how crowded this year has been (it's still better than most of the albums in that category just so we're clear!), but We Can't Be Friends getting shut out of Record of the Year for the fucking Beatles?????????????????????????????

I know some of you want to pretend Taylor being nominated for Tortured Poets is completely undeserved, but it's actually a much stronger album than Midnights and deserves its place this year. However I don't expect her to win two years in a row.
The nominations actually seem pretty fair (although I too would've liked to see Ariana get a bit more love) and it's brilliant to see so many of the pop girls get nominated in a banner year for pop.

Yeah the noms are satisfying I’m fed. I love eternal sunshine but feel there were other girlie pop albums that were more of a moment and it’s deserved they got their time to shine. Primavera Trinity snapped!
Dua with her unique label situation, messy management and minimum impact was never going to do much with this era so the snub was expected I guess.
But really Beyoncé most nominated, Sabrina, Charli and Chappell getting lots of love… I never hated Grammys, Grammy is my friend.
