It’s clear from the song awards the pop vote was split, Billie definitely deserved SOTY so that’s a pity, but overall it’s been a great night and they mostly spread the wealth.

A night where Beyoncé wins AOTY, Gaga launches an incredible new single, Doechii + Charli + Sabrina + Chappell become Grammy winners AND Kendrick stomps on Drake twice? I couldn’t be more pleased. One of the best of the last years.

Ngl I'm so happy for Beyoncé. It's about time. But....I wish it was for Lemonade/Renaissance. Sigh.

Oh well, at least we can say she's an AOTY winner now.

Overall, a very good show other than that 5 hour long Quincy Jones tribute. Sabrina, Chappell, Doechii, & Charli ate their performances. Beyonce finally got her AOTY, and I don't have to deal with more Taylor award discourse. 8/10.

I agree but this was still huge for her I think. A few short years ago she was still releasing albums that mostly went under the radar and only made noise for us cigs and the blogs. This year she was the biggest success story of the summer. I always thought she was a bit too leftfield for the AOTY but she still managed to nab 3 Grammys and a huge performance so overall it was a triumph.
