Don't forget the two Oscars as well.

Personally, I was rooting for a Charli AOTY win because it was my album of the year. I’m also not a fan of Cowboy Carter and don’t consider it in my top three Beyoncé albums.

Despite that, anybody claiming Beyonce did not deserve that award is crazy. She has been robbed blindly so many times that this was long overdue.

I also realise that me not enjoying Cowboy Carter has nothing to do with the albums quality. In the same way I frequently see Swifties try and come for Charlis music for just being ‘noise’, I do not like country music or anything closely resembling it most of the time - it’s not for me and that’s fine. However that is an issue of it not being to my taste, not that it’s not a great record, taste and quality are totally different things. Glad she finally got the top prize she’s long deserved.

She / Her
Cowboy Carter doubters will not see heaven. She's had plenty of basically perfect albums at this point but Cowboy Carter is the musical apotheosis of a years long research and thought process. It's definitely been cannibalized in public consciousness by Renaissance which quite literally gave the gays everything they could ever want, but the level of thought, musicality, lyrical and sonic deftness, depth, application and execution of concept... It's an 11/10 and while many Beyoncé albums have deserved this award there are none more deserving than this one.

I love that they spread the wealth this year. Worthy winners in virtually all the major categories. And performances ranged from solid to excellent. Doechii's build to this moment could not have been better scripted -- she has been peaking at just the right time -- and she demonstrated what a powerhouse she is on the Grammys stage. It's so exciting to have a genuine superstar-in-the-making female hip hop star who is such a dynamic live performer.

Minor niggle here, but.... was last night's performance representative of Sabrina's live vocals? The concept was funny and charming, but... the vocals? Doesn't Disney teach their child stars how to project and find their placement?

I’m most struck by what a fabulous line-up of female superstars were present at last night’s awards. I love watching Beyonce react to her win while the crowd is made up of Gaga, Taylor, Billie, Sabrina and Chappell and co. These artists exist in their own bubbles for the entire year and then they all collide once a year.
