Today we finally say goodbye to a second Team Fairy song. This song is performed by every single member of NCT in 2021 except Lucas, who was/is in the fridge for his scandal (sources tell me he’s been cleared from all accusations, though), and WinWin, who fucked off to China to do… something. So the WayV representation suffered a lot. And they didn't even get a spot in the rate this year! Not even the Ten solo and the sub-unit with YangYang!! WayZenNis what’s going awn!?!

Anyway, that still leaves 21 boys fighting for space in this track. Obviously power vocalists Doyoung and Taeil get a bit more time than the others, with poor newcomer Shotaro only having 2.2 seconds, but all things considered I think it's a pretty fair distribution. @askew (10) has his own opinion on the subject: “YYJ's vocals being so forward at the end is a scream. Like this is his song.”

The song... is cute! It's performed and produced competently and is quite catchy. The vocals and vocal production are the highlight for me, specially in the chorus. @Slice of Life (10) loves it: “Yes it’s cheesy but that’s the point!!!!! If u get it, u get it!” Exactly! But on the other hand, if you don't like sugary "empowering" concepts you're gonna DESPISE this, which was the case for lowest scorer @eatyourself (3,5): “This sounds like it was made for a Disney Channel production aimed at pre-schoolers.” To me the more accurate comparison would be those end-of-year TV spots featuring the whole network's staff singing in unison. ESPECIALLY with the music video aksskdjd But that might be a Brazil-specific thing?​

I think this song also benefits from being a change of tune from what most people only familiar with NCT singles are used to. I personally liked seeing and hearing a softer side of these guys! I'm not sure I remember what @drod93 (8) is comparing this to, but it's positive: “it's more palatable, but it wasn't able to sustain my interest for too long” @boombazookajoe's (10) stanning is helping me fill this post up with a lovely personal anecdote: “It's so schmaltzy and High School Musical but I don't care it's also the sweetest and most beautiful thing that came out last year. It doesn't help that late Fall/early Winter was when I really dived into the NCT K-hole and having a song with (almost) all of them was really helpful in my ongoing quest to be able to identify them all. (I can now.) Also, my fiance has slowly come around to enjoying K-Pop the way I have and this is the first song that I actively heard him listening to or watching on his own. This song came out at kind of a difficult period in his life and it helped, so this song and it's message holds a special place in my heart, cheesy or not.”​
