fffffffff Well, I guess if Lose had to leave here, it's only fair that this one didn't go much further either x

Listen, I fucking hate peaches and peach scented or flavored stuff, but this song is a total smash as far as my personal taste and vibes are concerned. It just sounds so... pink, so ethereal and beautiful. This is another one that I feel is elevated exponentially by the whole package: the music video is hypnotizing, Kai looks like some sort of Korean fairy prince in it and the whole color palette is a feast for the eyes. @boombazookajoe (10) reveals the origin of the lyrics: “Kai wrote this song about me because I am a pretty girl who likes peaches.” My good judy @RUNAWAY (11) simply reiterates: “feels good to be the bad guy <3” Just how bad, Kai? How bad of a guy are you??

Overall the song is a bit light on hooks and dynamism, but I'm perfectly fine with an atmospheric mood piece. Some of our voters, not so much! @Salami (4) says: “It seems like this is the music he wants to make but it’s not what I want to listen to. Fair play to him but it’s a bit too “slow jamz“ for me.” @eatyourself (3) agrees: “How can such an attractive individual release such bland, dull music?” Despite stanning the album with me a bitsy on release, @Lately (7) is not fully in love with the title track: “If only the chorus wasn't so boring!! I love everything else.”

Mod extraordinaire @Slice of Life (10) says: “I really need to know who Kai’s vocal coach is. Like I just need to meet him and say thank you!!!! Seriously, how did he make Kai able to sing like this????? Like the falsettos??????? What the fuck!!! It’s not a Taemin-level of improvement but still, I’m gagged. His improved vocals seriously work so great on Peaches! Ended Bieber’s inferior Peaches!” Fellow Brazilian @Ana Raquel (3) also compares this to the other Peaches but... negatively ddddd “I tend to like Kai's stuff in general............. but I really didn't connect with this or the mini at all? And, like, I think I like it less than........ the other peaches from the Canadian Cartolouco? This is a problem (probably with me I am aware!!)” NOT CANADIAN CARTOLOUCO!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is kinda funny that Kai is such a powerful dancer but is going for these very muted title tracks which, despite offering room for precision and intricacy, definitely aren't the kind of thing he could properly show off and show up with. And it is a bit of a shame this is finishing so much lower than his Top 3 placement last year. Maybe if someone had submitted To Be Honest? Oh yes, this mini album had some gems to be found as well! Besides the very poppy one I mentioned, Vanilla takes the ethereal, misty mood even further with some pretty novel organic sounds in its production, a fascinating little track.​

On a positive note, Vanilla's production truly sounds like what SOPHIE would have been doing had she been around during the Neolithic, doesn't it?

I can't believe Kai was unjustly tanked because somebody somewhere nobody in particular but also everyone in question might or might not think he's a talentless himbo and strategized for his downfall, which definitely debatably happened. Or didn't. Certainly and doubtfully. It's within the realm of possibility that we should consider and entertain. After all, it is a reality and timeline we may unknowingly or knowingly be a part of.

This string of eliminations has been an absolute disgrace. Heartbreak, Lose and Peaches are all fantastic songs that deserved to do much better. I guess some people are only here for for the school uniform kidz bop fantasy and can't handle something a bit more mature
