I think this is the first song to be eliminated that spent time in the Top 10 (Top 5, actually) during the voting period, if only for a short while.

OK, for a song called Rock With You, this doesn't actually rock that hard? It's energetic and propulsive but the whole thing is very polished and even a bit restrained when it comes to the guys' performances. None of that is necessarily bad, of course, this is a rock (heh) solid song, with an instant and memorable chorus hook. It's all very efficient, no superfluous parts or detours. 11-giver @drod93 sums it up: “My Kings delivered a bop”

With SVT I always get the impression that their songs are perfectly crafted to be performed by them. All the parts just feel very well distributed, especially when you watch the live stages, choreography, etc. There's not a second without something cool happening!

@boombazookajoe (10) stans: “Just perfect. I don't even know what else to say other than the song is perfect, the melodies are perfect, the choreo is perfect, the video is perfect.” Oh yes, the video is so good. They are always a delight to watch... incredible how this group has 13 members and all of them are HOT (which WILL be setting the Top 10 on fire next year I am manifesting it!)

@Slice of Life (10) has a few things to say: “I love this mature take on Seventeen’s signature bright music! Further proof that Seventeen could not do wrong!!!! If the people who complained for years that Seventeen has stopped making bright music tank this, there will be blood!!!! I know all your names and addresses and social security numbers!!!!” Well... that could apply to @eatyourself (6) but really what he wants is for them to make another Don't Wanna Cry: “I think this is fun... I definitely like the beat.”

When a Chainsmokers cosplay is a group's best song you can measure how bad their music is!! Sorry I love these boys but their material is insanely bad for me. I don't think there is any other K-pop group whose entire arsenal of title tracks fails to please me. I imagine they have good b-sides but the titles never gave me courage to give them a chance. Which is a shame because they are literally my favorite male idols out there, I love their voices, dance skills and obviously their looks! But not the music. Tie me to the balls of a bull and drag me naked through Barcelona if you don't like it!

Firstly, I would just like to say that I don’t like it when people say K-Pop groups “cosplay” Western artists, and Seventeen has given us some essential listening (IMO)…
But when 2 of a group’s biggest hits (Don’t Wanna Cry and Left & Right) were plagiarized…
The criticism feels valid in this instance…

Yes absolutely! Lady Gaga deserves credit for writing The Cure and allowing these boys to have their hit. Stream it!



This reminds me of when LOONA plagiarized Flume for Butterfly and the Twitter gheys were in denial... great times!

You’re right and you should say it! How are Seventeen so consistently… bland? They’re rarely bad but hardly ever great.

This is our second could-have-been-Top-10 song to be eliminated. In fact, it was also at #5, (tied with Rock With You) after the first ten ballots! I'm glad DIVE ended up winning this little duel though, because this was kinda one of my unexpected 2021 highlights?

It's just so easy to love, very breezy and catchy, and he sounds so good on it. The softness of those post-chorus moments and of the bridge, before turning up the energy a little bit for the last chorus! A simple, effective song that I would love to hear live.

@boombazookajoe (9,5) says: “One of my favorite rate discoveries -- and it got better with each listen! These GOT7 boys really know how to release solo material, huh?” That they do, I liked/loved everything I heard from them since the not-disbandment. @Slice of Life (10) has a clear favorite: “The best GOT7 solo single and it’s not even a close competition fffffff” @bbynewyear (6,5) is not a fan “Inoffensive, but it kinda came and went…”.

This didn't get a music video, but it does have a very cute recorded live performance. And, in keeping with the song's aquatic theme, here are two separate shower scenes featuring Mr. Jinyoung for your viewing pleasure!
