Yeah, this was an excellent rate @Wills! I think this is probably the smoothest rate I've participated in?? nawt you starting with 90+ songs and finishing in a very good pace. The talent! And the Lucky Unnies concept + watch2gether reveal (even though it was 8am for me, I was not waking up that early for it sorry fbjsdbfg) is kind of a #pavetheway moment. As for the results, well I definitely think we all kind of expected Step to win it but it really is simply just a magnificent song, so it genuinely does deserve it.

Great question! I haven't finalized plans yet (and likely won't until over the summer honestly), but I'll try to share details when I can. I'll plan on posting those here, so I recommend hitting "Watch Thread!"
In the meantime, never hurts to listen to as much MonoTree as possible - though that'd be good advice even if there weren't a rate!

Ahh thank you for sharing this! I also just watched through the full interview (linked below) and... ugh. "I will forever be a stan" really says it all. The depths of their partnership with the groups they've worked with has always been apparent in the final product, but it's a joy to hear them talk about it in detail. Their approach has always been so uncynical: they've never cut corners in executing their vision, and they have a treasure trove of a discography to show for it.
I'd recommend this interview to any of you: I was smiling the whole time... and even a little emotional? The bit around 3:30 where Jaeho laments that their approach is dated... ffff I'm not quite ready to process that just yet, but I really hope they know just how beloved their work has always been.

I've been avoiding participating in too many K-Pop lately as I always end up falling behind on following the eliminations (case in point, and I also still need to catch up KSOTY, 3rd Gen debuts, T-Ara, etc), but I will try!
Anyway, this really was a fantastic rate, thanks for hosting @Wills! I actually meant to have participated the finale watch2gether, but it ended up slipping my mind and by the time I joined the room it was already over ff. I'm definitely looking forward to the MonoTree one.
