A*Teens (2024 Reunion) + General Discussion

TBH - I love them but they've always been better in videos than live performances. They are a bit robotic and [very much] singing along to a track with vocals. I think they are a band you listen to and watch the videos, but seeing them in person does not enhance anything.

Have you seen them live? The Pop Til You Drop tour was a concert highlight of my life. And it was a BUDGET set. They are stars.

What version of Let Your Heart Do All The Talking do people prefer??

For me the album version is vastly superior to the single mix. I don’t like the instrumental on the single mix - it’s so vastly different

It’s interesting that they chose the album mix for the Greatest Hits album - maybe they felt the same?

Album mix is miles better! Better production, better instrumental, better everything. The only thing I prefer about the single mix is Marie’s adlibs at the end of the track!

Had never heard her version of Physical before, love it! When was it released?

In 2007 around the same time as her song Glamour Bitch, which I think made a small dent on the Swedish charts. I remember hearing them on her MySpace and being kinda into it but then when she went down the more acoustic laid back route it did nothing for me.

@jesusloveswinners probably means 2007, not 2017. Let's Get Physical was released as a part of some clothing brand's promo. I absolutely loved it at the time, even though I still remember how it took me forever back to find a CD Quality rip. I still rinsed the low quality file I had. It can be found on this compilation.

Glamour Bitch came out a bit later as a real single and I remember bopping (far less than Physical). Then she shifted to more acousticy pop rock as @jesusloveswinners notes. I only remember First from that era and it was mid. Then it all went quiet until she came back with Enemy.

I was so underwhelmed when I bought the greatest hits (back in 2004) and ound out they didn't use the radio/single versions of the songs (only "A perfect Match" wich I love). It was a weird choice, the radio/singles versions are so much more special for that kind of compilations.

Can someone settle the truth on the "Star Wars" vs "South Park" line in Perfect Match?
Does the Star Wars one exist (and if so it's easily the superior and I haven't heard it)

It definitely exists as I used to have the mp3 back in the day. I want to say it was the “Radio Disney” version.
Indeed it was the radio Disney Version - they also changed the Snatch line to “you love Grease baby, I love Flash”

I’m now on a mission to find it cos I haven’t heard it for years and I stumbled across this. Amit ad-libbing some harmonies:

Nice to see some live vocals too
