  2. Oooh I've just pitched a tent in my dressing gown!!!

Oooh, this is gonna be tough.. it's gonna rain 7's and 8's from me I think.

  5. Done!

Unsurprisingly, I gave quite a lot of high scores....

I really hope the over-rated mega-hits like Waterloo, Dancing Queen and Fernando bow out early!

People Need Love needs to get out quickly.
Out of the proper hits I can happily live without Fernando, Chiquitita, I Have A Dream and (shock) The Eagle.

  7. Eurgh. I hate Eagle and I Have A Dream. Chiquitita's lovely though!

  8. As I've made a concerted effort to get into Abba in the last couple of months, I'm looking forward to putting some thought into this. I'll be interested to see what sort of scores I give out - and of course the countdown will be exciting, as always with these things. Yay, I love singles rates!

  9. Very much looking forward to this rate so many songs worthy of high scores this is going to be tough.

  10. Oh lord! This is one of THE singles rates of all-time.

They weren't always amazing (to this listener, anyway) but so many slices of pure pop brilliance. No, let's just call it genius.

I Have A Dream does not come into said category, ha.

  11. The singles from The Visitors did VERY well in my scores...

Here's what a proper singles rate should look like.

  13. I'll dig out my iTunes ABBA SIngles Log playlist and double-check that I don't underrate some of these. At first glance, there are a dozen nailed-on 10s for me. Most of those are actually 11s!

  14. Oh. Yes.

I can imagine that the top 10/15 will be incredibly tight, and that average scores will just be phenomenal.

  15. There at least a couple of 25's!

  16. Have just sent my votes in!

  17. I was hoping someone would see the light and do one of these!!! 10s for all I reckon!

  18. I'm considering only giving three 10's.

Compared to 99% of other pop songs they all deserve top marks but if if we are judging them against the other masterpieces some are slightly better than others.

I think we can safely assume that a 6 in this would constitute a 9 in any other rate but this is ABBA the greatest pop group in the entire history of recorded. FACT!!!

  19. I'd like to take part in this. I just need to familiarise myself with the pre-Waterloo material.

  20. I think I gave 15 10's. Lowest was a 6 - they rarely made bad single choices.
