I hate you for putting that out there.
For me it’s the hilarious oompah band at the end which elevates the joke and makes this song brilliant and bonkers.

Not sure how this would translate into willingness to buy tickets and travel for a limited tour in the Brexit country... While the musical, movie, tribute acts all 'compete' with the ABBA brand I think.
It does translate well to sales tho, did they not get 70k pre-orders in UK already or so?
The amount of times I heard parties go near the end of the time and they play ABBA dancing queen in the clubs or parties here is literally over half of the times there's a party. Young people really love em.

Random but: the songs are copyrighted to "1221 AB" (where AB is the Swedish equivalent of Inc./Ltd/SàRL/GmbH) which at first I was assuming was just a numbered company (especially because I thought until just this moment that it was "2021 1221 AB" before realising that it meant 2021 was the copyright year; mess), but if we use the old A=1, B=2, Z=26 code on it, what do we get?

Sensible of them to do that so they retain some rights to the new music. They originally owned rights to all their work through their shared ownership of Polar Music International AB, but sold their shares in the 1980s, which were eventually bought by Polygram. I think each member of ABBA had 12.5% shares, with Stig Anderson owning the other 50%.
Presumably, they each have 25% of the new company.

I work in a school and some kids do Rowing (the school is known for it) super early right by my office. I was in early myself today and had a huge grin on my face as they rowed and sang (!) at the same time, at the top of their lungs, to Dancing Queen and Knowing Me Knowing You. The power of ABBA’s catalogue simply cannot be overstated. These songs are essentially cross-generational cultural pillars.
