Yeah what's up with that? How come other shows (like recently English Teacher) can get their weekly updates worldwide and with Abbott.. we're waiting till the whole season's done?

Probably down to archaic contract/rights that limit how and when it is seen. It’s the one absurd thing about the age of streaming and how things should be easier to find and watch but are harder to.

Loved the most recent episode (with the class pets.) They really hit their stride with this one. Well.. except for...

Gregory having a breakdown over the death of his pet rock. That was just stupid.

God I am loving season one. It's become something I really look forward to after work. Ended up watching four episodes last night and going to sleep at 2am oop, Mountain Standard Time thank you for adding the hour to my weekend and letting me piss it away with Janine and co.

I love how the relationships are budding and shifting, things are happening between and within people who are so damn lovable, even Madame Principal Eva, queen of the zeitgeist.

And Courtney, you will always be famous. So friggin funny, lil cult leader in training with vocabulary for daaaaayyys.

EDIT: FFFFFFFFF Gregory versus the pizza and that NASTY Baltimore Pizza, scream. "Don't you bring Lady Gaga into this!!"

I'm at the episode where Janine has to take a sick day and Ava has to cover for her. It was honestly so sweet seeing her come around and actually kick ass with the kids. "Come on y'all, this ain't a white concert, make some noise!!!!" while SERVING at story time, amazing. I actually teared up a little bit.

Sorry this is basically "I'm watching the show" thread but I was NOT expecting Ms. Brunson and the writers to spotlight Parable of the Sower, a book I just finished listening to like a month ago. I had to replay that line to make sure I heard her right!

It's an incredible book for anyone who hasn't read/listened to it yet. Like, if I could choose one book that everyone should read, that'd be my choice.

The novel eerily starts in the year 2024 and the parallels to the modern USA are shocking, and even insightful. The dialogues barely touched on the novel itself and were, as usual, a series of kii's that Ava knocked out of the park. But it's just really cool to see a show that engages with timely and timeless ideas that are especially relevant to Black Americans. The thesis statement from Ms. Inez (LOVE hats) about diversity being CRITICAL in times of strife, and how the people of Abbott Elementary are putting in the work to do that every day even while they're being extremely messy... my heart!

Quinta's on my shortlist of "celebs to get a coffee with" now, for sure. I'm most of the way through season 3 and am already pre-emptively grieving when I run out of episodes.

I can't believe how fucking messy Gregory was in the double date episode dhfhdghhj. And if he still doesn't come out and tell Janine at this point, I'm going to scream a bit.

Wait. How'd I miss all this? Isn't the latest episode the smoothie shop one? Also... Gregory's in the closet?

It's the Book Club episode, season 3. That's the B plot: the A plot is Gregory being a damn mess on the double date (which, actually, I think the episode was called Double Date).

And I meant "Gregory come out and tell Janine that he loves her" because come onngg. I think I've got just a few more episodes of S3 left: Janine is back working at Abbott.

Oh. Ha. That was so long ago, I forgot all about the specifics of that plotline.

I'm developing irritation at Gregory and Janine. We are doing the relay race in the park right this very moment, almost through season 3, so maybe something will happen by end of episode... they're testing me!

"Jake's right, Morton sucks" lmaooooo. Oooooofff that part made me mad.

EDIT: YAAAAY just got to the super wonderful payoff at the end of season 3. That was hot!
