Finally caught up with the Quinta acceptance speech stuff. Yeah that whole bit wasn’t funny, just hella annoying. But Quinta took it in her stride which was great. She shouldn’t have to do that but yeah. Sheryl’s acceptance speech, oh my god I got chills! I’ve loved her ever since Moesha and it’s so great to see her getting all her flowers right now.
There's just something so dark sided about a brilliantly talented black woman having to STEP OVER an overrated untalented white man who wanted the attention for himself and whose fragile ego couldn't handle not being the centre of attention.
It's premiere day! It's so much fun watching them all do promo together. The chemistry among the cast is just wild. I can't wait to see them back onscreen together.
I’m elated the viewing figures are slaying as expected. Now if Disney+ could sort out when us UK people are gonna get the second season that would be fab!
Okay, I’ll admit I was a bit nervous about the “Sophomore Slump” after the first episode of S2. It was good, but E2 really picked it up. I laughed out loud so many times - glad it still hits those highs. The entire Shark Tank segment was amazing. “This ain’t ‘A Star Is Born’ — I’ll take your tiny ass out!”
I could not have laughed out loud more during this week’s episode. So glad they seem to have retained the excellent quality.
Right?! I felt like that D.W meme watching from afar behind the fence reading everyone’s post about how funny the most recent episode was “:(“
Might be sacrilege to say, but I think the episodes so far have been more ‘ok’ than ‘great’, but the teacher’s aide at the end of the third episode definitely brought a new, needed energy to the show.
