No Tears is a bit shit, huh.
Oh that reminds me, since we're exposing some choice opinions, here's some initial thoughts - including some from our own voters! - on what have been long seen as the OBVIOUS two best songs of the year:

No Tears:

I'm underwhelmed, to be honest.
Based on those 90 seconds, I’ll be waiting for single #2.
I like it, but it feels like an odd lead single choice. I assume that the video will help things click a bit more. I definitely expect mixed reactions though nn.
It didn’t grab me the way I was hoping on first listen but it’s still a good song.
I'm not in love with that chorus right now.
The video was a little corny.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The song is a grower, but it's in dire need of a key change or added production.
Someone said song of the year? Lol... I cant wait for whatever she made with pharrell because I dont think I can get behind this. I think I honestly would have preferred a big ballad or a big bop compared to this.
This left me colder than I expected (and I waited to post my thoughts cause I don't wanna shit on anyone's parade and I needed to give it a few spins after the first underwhelmed). I don't dislike it by any means, I'm just not blown away like I expected to be. I feel like it never really takes off, despite feeling like it should be absolutely euphoric. I imagine it's a grower, and it's definitely catchy. I'm not sure what exactly isn't clicking.

The video is cute. A bit cheesy in parts (some of the CGI is awful) but it's a step up from videos of her doing nothing. I still think it'll be a big hit - it's already #1 on US iTunes and the video has nearly 500,000 views.
Disappointed after Problem or Focus or Into You

This? 3/10

God is a Woman:

First reaction... It’s good. Probably will be a grower, but there’s no denying this was a little overhyped.

This feels like her ARTPOP.
It's not earth-shattering nor really new ground for her, but it's a fucking solid lil bop I can only see getting better with each play. It's very Full Moon Brandy.

I can see it doing really well (and kind of avenging Everyday teebs). Love Lies being such a slow burning hit probably bodes well for this.
It's not bad but "No Tears..." sounds more incredible than usual played directly after. So um yeah.
Well....it’s certainly better than The Light Is Coming, at the very least. No Tears remained unbothered though.
God Is a Woman is alright. Sounds good, but doesn't seem too memorable or interesting on first listen. Maybe it will grow.
This is a bit rubbish on first listen.
hmmm.... meh, it's basically Dangerous Woman but with God in it.
Btw this single is going to flop.
This is a Katy Perry track.
I think I prefer The Light is Coming

Conclusion: release night opinions are silly, but necessary for the mess.

Though to be fair most people were stanning immediately dd, but let me stir the pot a biT.

Meanwhile I immediately stanned them both, and instantly hated 7 rugs. My mind!
