Only now watching "High School" based on Tegan and Sara's adolescence/growing up in Calgary and finding both the performances and soundtrack excellent.

It’s such a beautifully done show. Wish it attracted more eyes because it’s one of the best coming of age programs in ages. Got major My So-Called Life 2.0 vibes from it.

That's absolutely what it gives me too! It's the 90s done correct in all of its drab, clunky awesomeness.

Currently binging Fleishman Is In Trouble - I genuinely screamed laughed in some of the scenes in the first episode. It feels like a good show so far.

This Aussie show has been a pretty fun ride so far, though personally I'm just happy Emily Browning finally got a good project. The throwback needle drops have also been excellent so far.

Can't find a thread for this show so thought I'd share it here. Caught the whole of the debut series of I Love That For You on a flight. I enjoyed it WAY more than I expected to - and the setting of a home shopping network has a lot of promise. I think it's on Paramount Plus in the UK but hopefully it'll come to Prime/Netflix/others. Molly Shannon and Jenifer Lewis are far better in it than the trailer suggests; I think it deserves a second run.

I’m STILL waiting for them to renew or cancel this show. It has a lot of charm and I really would love to see a second season of it.

Finished Saint X's first episode and the execution (both acting and editing) is painfully dull; no wonder Victoria Pedretti bailed.

I just finished Dear Edward on Apple TV although I saw Apple cancelled the show, i enjoyed it and all the interlinked stories just found Edward and the character Taylor Schilling played annoying.

Anyone else watching The Last Thing He Said To Me on AppleTV+ that also read the book?

Thank the casting department for getting Jennifer Garner to play Hannah because she, and Aisha Tyler, are the only things keeping me watching. The problem with this series is that when you take a very thin on plot novel with mediocre writing and translate it exactly, it becomes a mediocre tv show with a very thin plot.

The episodes only being 30 minutes in length is driving me nuts because the pacing is terrible. They should have either dropped this series all at once or just made it into a 135 minute movie and been done with it.
