'Skyfall / crumb ball' really hurts me.
GoldenEye is also not that great dd.
Stan the best Bond diva song:
The World Is Not Enough
These are my top two bond songs.
The World is Not Enough
Diamonds Are Forever
Live and Let Die
Licence to Kill
A View to a Kill
Die Another Day
The actual best Bond song.
Skyfall easily falls around the bottom of all the Bond songs, it's fine to admit that! At least its better than Sam Smith's effort.
A View to a Kill was the first Bond song I was aware of. Duran Duran on top of the world. Grace fucking Jones on the video. Miss Eiffel Tower serving. A moment!
This didn’t hit me until I listened to it a few times. There’s something very nostalgic about it. Maybe it’s cause I’m 34 but I find myself thinking of my 20s so much more these days and the time I thought I wasted. This song puts all of that into perspective. It’s like simultaneously grieving your past mistakes while freeing yourself from them at the same time.
Looking forward to the rest of the album!
The song is so much better without the video.
thank god that‘s not the real lyrics.
It’s second to The World Is Not Enough.
I also love Nobody Does It Better, but just as a song, not as a Bond song.
Absolutely. I saw the video once and never want to see it again.
Now there's a tune.
1. Garbage - The World Is Not Enough
2. Shirley Bassey - Diamonds Are Forever
3. Tina Turner - GoldenEye
4. Shirley Bassey - Goldfinger
5. Sheryl Crow - Tomorrow Never Dies
Skyfall is possibly in the top ten but definitely not top five material. But it's also not a 0 when Another Way To Die and You Know My Name exist.
Tomorrow never dihiiiies! There, that's how it should be sung.
Easy On Me and When We Were Young kind of have the same sentiment and sense of nostalgia so I’m not surprised people go listen to it right after.
I would ascend
I may be alone in this. For me, Skyfall is great for a Bond theme, however it is not one of her songs that I would ever play in heavy rotation. The moment it worked best for me was when I was watching Skyfall in the movie theatre.
Skyfall served its purpose and is fine for what it is, but I have no desire to listen to it again.
