Adele - 30

Maybe I was the only one who didn't know that but, regardless, my point has less to do with its reality and more to do with its overall impact. Seeing that level of violence upsets me a lot. And the dismissive responses are shitty, too. I'm legitimately engaging in good faith about this, all!

Let's chill a bit on this type of energy, please. @Stopremix was generally acting out of good faith in not necessarily knowing the full context of the GIF, and while they've since gotten said context, it's fair in a way to be a bit ??? about the origin of the GIF without it. We've since spoken and they've said a bit more, but it doesn't have to get to that point of messy on the other side. Let's just take it as a moment of ??? overall and wait to see what next blunder this campaign holds. Thanks x

Respectfully, I don't believe I've ever seen any post like yours in regards to a mildly sarcastic response to someone's bizarre posting before. Suggesting someone "touch grass" over their highly dramatic response to a WWE gif doesn't seem to warrant this kind of hand holding of the other side? I didn't exactly tell him to seek help and get a fucking grip.

I swear I'm not trying to start an issue here, but considering most of the sassy and catty behavior that goes on within this forum, my post being called out like this seems odd. And it's not like I was the only one to respond to it, yet you're only quoting my post.

Your post was reported. You're not banned, warned, or bout to be deleted. That should be enough. We're not singling you out boo.

But still - it's not a personal condemnation; moderators were alerted to your post because of the report. It's not immediately your burden to provide justification for what you posted. We're just trying to make safe spaces as moderators to review what led to this report.

Not make safe...in an Adele thread? Her Bad Gyal era truly jumped out I fear.

A few months on, Oh My God is an odd one. It has great verses but that chorus is pretty unremarkable and over-wordy and lets the whole thing down. Which is strange because the one thing you can usually rely on with her singles is a killer hook that everyone and their gran can remember and sing along to, which forms a big part of their cross-generational impact.

I have to agree about the chorus, although I’m hooked on the song, it took me to Google it to work out what she was saying particularly the “what is the likelihood” wording. I also find the chorus to sound like a backing track a bit

I Drink Wine is not well - she sings it with such conviction at the Brits, but the lyrics are awful.

Set Fire To The Rain is an absolute juggernaut - more of that please.

I think, for me, it's always the lyrical content of Adele songs that let them down. She has a great voice, top notch production but then some of the most basic lyrics which sometimes verge on being cringe.
