After is a trip-pop duo inspired by Dido, Michelle Branch, Massive Attack and Frou Frou.

Their debut EP is out now.

I’ll leave it at that.

Damn, instantly felt pulled in by the drums on Ever. Unleashing her voice in the chorus gave me chills. References are spot on @mindtrappa.

ETA - ok Obvious is huge!? It's like a lost Michelle Branch song from a lost American Pie movie soundtrack.

I see the vision but the songs are still merely moodboards for me, not a lot to sink my teeth into. But they have plenty of time to fine tune their craft. The video with the letterboxed 4:3 aspect ratio is a scream.

Oh so they're American, that's why the cosplay feels a bit off ddd. Gotta be European for this sound to fully hit I fear. They remind me of The Honeymoon, real ones remember.

Most of their references are European acts, and this is what I call cold weather music. You gotta suffer through miserable weather to make this sound ring true, plus the nostalgia of growing up on MTV/radio playing these genres etc. It's like... America can't produce a beabadoobee or a pinkpantheress.

Girl, half of America suffers more miserable weather (brutal winters) than Europeans! I genuinely didn't know beabadoobee wasn't American, though, so consider me educated dd *shocked pikachu*
