  1. Wait, What?!

HELP My moms are going on tour!

  2. Actually reading the lyrics so I could make out what she's singing helped me like this even more.

These are the reasons I drink
The reasons I tell everybody I’m fine, even though I am not
These are the reasons I overdo it
I have been working since I can remember, since I was single digits
Now even though I’ve been busted
I don’t know where to draw the line cause the groove has gotten so deep

And nothing can give reprieve like they do
Nothing can give a break from this torture like they do

Here we are I feel such rapture and my comfort is so strong
    Ohh Ohh Ohh
One more hit It feels so helpful in my need for respite
    Ohh Ohh Ohh

Here are the reasons I eat
Reasons I feel everything so deeply when I’m not medicated
So that’s it, I am buying a Lamborghini
to make up for these habits to survive this sick industry

Nothing can give reprieve like they do
Nothing can give me a break from this torture like they do

Here we are I feel such rapture and my comfort is so strong
    Ohh Ohh Ohh
    One more sip
It feels so helpful in my need for some long overdue respite
    Ohh Ohh Ohh

These are the reasons I don’t even think I would quit
These are the reasons I can’t even see straight
And these are the ones whom I know it so deeply affects
And I am left wondering how I would function without it

    Here we are
I feel such rapture and my comfort is so strong
    Ohh Ohh Ohh
One more rip I got from one lilypad to another to stay lit
    Ohh Noo Ohh Ohh Ohh...

  5. To be a little fairer to Alanis, while we as fans may be tired of what’s become a consistent reissuing/milking of Jagged I have to give her credit for being one of the only artists I’m a fan of that actually acknowledges the anniversaries of important albums, in a substantial way, and at all, let alone in a timely fashion.

    Well...this wasn't worth the 7-year wait.

  7. Right. And also like... Jagged Little Pill isn't just an album. It remains one of the most important, celebrated, successful works of all time. I'm fine with her giving it its due, even more than once.

That being said, I do wish she would acknowledge the rest of her catalogue more. Her tours are already nearly all of JLP and there are so many gems that deserve attention.

If she ever pays tribute to Junkie in the same way I would die.

  8. Reasons I Drink is pretty great, huh?

  9. Not really.

It’s pleasant enough but I don’t see myself actively choosing to listen to it again.
  10. I actually really like this. Huge fan but never been able to listen to Havoc in full. Also never seen her live so I'm actually quite tempted by the Jagged Little Pill anniversary tour ahaha. How is she live these days, vocally?

  11. Also, it’s the fault of our species for not buying her other albums in significant quantities (no judgement) (oh who am I kidding). Just for once I’d like a SFIJ anniversary tour.

Even thought I don’t really listen to JLP anymore it’s up there with Little Earthquakes, Ray of Light and Aerial and I’ll sing its praises until the day I die.

Edit: I hope Ablaze is on the album

  12. I cannot stress this enough - she was fantastic when I saw her this summer.

My friend and I drove to a winery in California to see her, front row (without popcorn). She played an acoustic set and sounded completely flawless. She hit every single note, in some cases with more power and control than she's had at her peak. I honestly feared the worst because of some other live videos I'd seen. She's way better acoustically because she's not trying to overpower the band.

Her tone is a little deeper, for sure, but I actually enjoy it.

  13. Just listened to the new track - I like it but it sounds more like a Sara Bareilles song than it does an Alanis song. Funky little number though.
  14. Yeah I got Sara Bareilles too, the piano I suppose.
  15. the honky-tonky piano and lack of electric guitar. Even the production is very similar to Sara's "Little Voice". Is Eric Rosse involved? Flavors part 2, this ain't.
  16. *sigh* It's decent.
  17. "Reasons I Drink" is markedly different from the other new songs she's performed, that's for sure.

I've listened about 10 times and I love it.
  18. It reminded me of Ally/Gaga - Look What I Found (!)

  19. It’s a little Behind These Hazel Eyes to me.
  20. She sounds intelligent on basic bops and it sounds cringe to me now
She sounds so geekily North American if that makes sense
