Here we go...
I own most of these. What a year.
Britney was the most exciting, that trippy cover art still stands out in my mind on the Woolworth shelf. Still my fave Britney record.
Christ, time has flown. So it's 20 years ago this month I was buying La Luna in HMV and discovering Kings Of Convenience.
The 2nd best Human League album after Octopus
One of my fave albums of that year and ever.
Me reading through this thread and seeing all these albums I still remember going to the store and buying.
The "Feeling old" thread.
Sunday nights were always mixed emotions for me between the late 90's and Mid 00's - partly suffering from the Sunday blues that I was back at work the next day and partly elated that the new (Britney/Madonna/Kylie/Sophie/Bjork/Melanie C/Geri/J.Lo/Whomever) album was out and I'd be rushing to HMV in my lunch break to purchase and subsequently listen to on my CD Walkman on the bus journey home.
The good old days.
Nothing makes me feel more nostalgic than seeing the enhancedCD logo on an album cover.
I feel ancient.
Listening to Glitter as I type, and it really is such an underrated gem of an album. 2001 was so cruel to Mimi.
My favourite album of all time turns 20 this year:
I fucking love Loverboy and always have.
Perfect taste! One of her best ever bops.
