Oh sorry, I guess that the disc factory is just printing promo copies of it for fun right now then.

Oh sorry, I guess Alesha just decided to ring me up for no particular reason to give me a false single title then.

I'm going to text her now and ask her what the deal is.

So her debut (did her first one get an actual release?) album is out November 17th and it's called "The Alesha Show". It's preceded by "The Boy Does Nothing" a Xenomania track on 3rd November. Let's hope it's good...

Well, her first album did get a release in Japan, but does that count?

I'm not sure about the album name. It's predictable and it makes me think of some sort of Chicago-esque jazz-inspired stage musical.

I love the title.
It makes her bigger than she actually is, and boasting your ego with fame is always good.
Confidence!

As long as it doesn't devolve into "The Alesha Show!" starring Shaznay Lewis as Alesha :(.

Seriously though, I'm excited by this and I'd love it if the gems off her "first" album were worked into this campaign -- as b-sides, download bonuses, whatevz really.

I get the feeling she'll throw "Lipstick" and "Knockdown" on it. Hey, it might help drive some sales, and I'm sure it's nice for old times sake.

Shouldn't we be hearing some material by now?
The front page has been hyping her up for some time now, I'm ready for something explosive!

Isn't that the point though? She and her label is trying to big her up big time, much like Leona and Simon Cowell did post-X-Factor. They're making her seem like hot commodity; but we'll see if it works for a Dancing With The Stars winner.

Interesting title.
I'd still rather have Mis-Teeq, but I'm looking forward to it.

The idea of Alesha as a hot commodity is, sadly, laughable.
I expect good music, I don't expect good success. It's a sad old world in Pop.

Well, I while I hope good music awaits, I really think that they hoped "Hot Commodity = Hot $ucce$$".

Oh my gosh, things are moving faster now! Five new songs are on songpeople.com to be reviewed for the label. Not heard them myself but people have said 4 of them are mid/down-tempo. Plus earlier today a dancer of Alesha's leaked The Boy Does Nothing (!) but within 30 mins the label had removed all links. It must mean it's about somewhere though!

Re: Alesha - "The Alesha Show" album - November 17th

This is what I posted on UKMix about the five songs (which are two min snippets):

I heard the five songs. First thoughts on each:

Song 1 - midtempo - sounded really good at the time but I've forgotten how it went now LOL.

Song 2 - 'The Alesha Show' / 'Here I Am' / 'Im Back' - It's probably called something like that, judging by the lyrics in the chorus. Jazzy, funky, uptempo, circus-like. Really like this one.

Song 3 - Ive called this one 'Chasing A Ghost' on my iTunes (i ripped the clips lol) because that's a lyric in the song; it probably isn't the title though. This is reasonably good; mid-to-up-tempo.

Song 4 - I assume this is called 'Careful' since that's the thrust of the chorus. This is like Something About You '08, no joke - the beat is so similar! That's no bad thing. I love it.

Song 5 - A really soft, slow ballad which could be called 'Do You Know?' or 'Do You Know How It Feels' or similar. A little bit boring but it picks up towards the end of the clip.

Songpeople don't actually give you the song titles but the songs all sound good. They sound very slick actually, and like a progression (though not radical) of the sound featured on Fired Up.
