I don't think the GP is aware this is a thing. I've been pushing it on all my friends and they hadn't even known she was back.

I hate this - it's so heavily in debt to Drake, and I find Drake soulless, hollow and completely in-dynamic (I suspect that's the point and it's just my taste). Alicia is better than this- Try Sleeping is in my top ten songs ever.

After years of being unable to stand her bar 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart', this whole release has been delightful.

I wonder how much (if any) of her current renaissance we can attribute to Guy Oseary?

I wonder who paired her with Illangelo, the production on 'In Common' is excellent!
About a year and a half ago when she was with him she said she was working on angry, aggressive music, which would be good to hear from her.

This "positive vibes" sound from her is just so fucking tiresome. Also: I'm not perfect either! I have sex too!

It's just so unthorough, as if we didn't know what a creep this woman is. She isn't even singing.

Normally you don't want career-singer-songwriters like Alicia to veer so sharply away from what they're known for but this is such a breath of fresh air and In Common has really grown on me recently.

This isn't really a sharp change in direction for her though. Not her first song to sound like a Drake song.

I always liked Alicia, but never was that much into her albums. In Common is subtle and great and make me want to relisten to all her albums to discover some personal gems.

I remember I didn't care for As I Am when it was released, but then I listen to it some time after and it kinda clicked with me. I should make a note.

I'm definitely enjoying her new material, but it seems like she is not destined to have another hit in her hands for a while.

I'm just a casual listener but this is a huge departure from an Alicia Keys song to me, I associate her with piano ballads and mid tempos.

Hallelujah is dropping on Spotify in a bit: https://open.spotify.com/track/5bbGG2Ts8j4KKSFZjVhjVG

What a beautiful cover.

Seems like she did a short movie for Hallelujah to promote her campaign "We are Here" and to support world refugees day:

The song sounds great.
