Wow. It is almost 6 years since Silver Eye came out.

The funny thing is that I have started revisiting Goldfrapp's discography recently and now we have these news.

Are we aware of another Alison collaboration, this time with Claptone? "Digging Deep" was featured in the Claptone Clapcast in December 2022. The track starts around 18:00.

I like this, but it sounds more like Alison is the guest on Claptone's track. And, perhaps that's what it is. Who knows if the rest of what she's been recording is like this.

If they do go in a more uptempo direction, it would be interesting to hear them move past electronica and maybe give us some dark, moody disco. Or, frankly, I'd be very curious about what a house influenced Goldfrapp album might sound like -- especially with the right co-producer.

From the sounds of things I think that her album will be a collaboration with various producers but ultimately it will be released as an Alison Goldfrapp solo album.

Saying you love the album, even saying it's your favorite (I know, that and "best" often mean the same thing) I could accept. But alongside albums as exciting as Black Cherry or interesting as Seventh Tree, it just seems so bizarre to me to say Tales is their best work. It's very "Joanne is Gaga's best". or as @Vasilios would say, "Quirky".

Claptone is not the most interesting of producers in my opinion but this is cute and I'm excited to see where it goes!

As a huge Goldfrapp lover, Takes Of Us is the only Goldfrapp album I just couldn’t get into to, and I’ve tried many times.
