Has she made any type of statement about Goldfrapp or why she's choosing to now release music under her full name / without Will?

Considering how condescending she's been about Head First, I'm surprised she's gone back to Richard X

Just listened to the single edit on NZ Spotify and it’s a lot tighter/makes more sense than the extended mix we heard. The intricacies to the production are beautiful, I do think some of the synths used are a bit generic, but it’s so exciting to have her back! Hopefully she announces an album ASAP.
So is this album what Richard X was teasing on Instagram back in the autumn?
It’s out now, reminds me of Head First sound wise.

Hmm, interesting that it's not Mute this time around.
This doesn’t sound like anything in Goldfrapp’s catalogue to me. It also sounds a bit like a tour interlude, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I think the fact that this sounds so separate to Goldfrapp is actually a good thing, it creates a lot more anticipation about what’s to come from Alison.

I really like it. It's completely retro-sounding, like, it could totally pass off for something from the late 90s. Also totally here for Richard X being involved with Alison's solo stuff.
It is very B-side'ish. I was hoping for more of a statement, but looking forward to hearing what else she's been up to in studio.
