All Important Single Edits On CD

Yeh Eric I have that cd but it is not the right mix. The single version seems to edit the intro of the Album version.

I'm not sure the actual 45 version is on CD? The 4.45ish version contains the 45 version. You need to remove the first 5 seconds or so of sound effects, and fade at the end to match the ending of the single.

It runs 4.16ish from CD, so the 45 might have been speeded up too? That YouTube clip is pretty much spot on with the overseas label times of 4.12.

Yes Stecov that's a good description of the single version.I recently purchased a cd with a 4:06 that I thought would match the single version but again it had that 5 second intro.

I've found sound samples on t'internet. Zambezi (never on CD before) and Boyfriend (single version ditto), the 2 tracks I wanted a digital copy of the most, seem to have been sourced from vinyl, judging by these samples.And goodness only knows how many others as well.

That's a pity about Zambezi as it's a song if wanted on cd for a long time.

Does anyone know if the correct single version of Gonzalez Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet is on cd.
Every cd I have is the wrong version.I'm afraid to check other songs I case of wrong versions now.

I've got it on a disco compilation called Blame It On the Boogie, which according to Discogs runs just a second longer at 3:56, so not sure if it's the same one or not.

Does anyone know where I can get the 7" version of Just Be Good To Me by The SOS Band (CD or digital)? Seems the 7" was over 5mins and there was also a 3.45 promo edit, I'd like both. The only (fake) edit digitally is on Now 80s which is just a fade of a 12" I think.
