Does anyone know the correct U.K. single version lenght of Grandmaster Flash And Melle Mel White Lines (Don't Do It).Going through CDs I am finding a few different lenghts for this song.

My iTunes basically has two versions...either a 4.28-4.30 edit or the full 7.40 original mix. So I'm guessing the shorter mix (on NOW3 as well) is the "single" version.

Actually I have a late-80s CD Maxi single which I think might be German...it's a Grandmaster mini-compilation thing....3 or 4 tracks. I'll check what mix of White Lines is on that.

That could be right as the 3:57 version I have has the same intro from the 7:40 long version.

To the best of my knowledge the only Into The Gap (UK) single which was remixed (or re-recorded) was Sister Of Mercy. I think I have an edit (early fade) of both Hold Me Now and Doctor! Doctor! somewhere.
