I've not come across it. There are a couple of overseas CDs with roughly the right length (3.44) quoted, but as that's the actual length of the 45 version, it doesn't allow any leeway for silence at the end of the track.Does anybody know if the correct U.K. single version of The Korgis Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime is on cd.
Thanks for the info.Yeh there a few CDs almost matching the single time on MusicBrainz but it could be a gamble getting them as I found out was various CDs over the years.I've not come across it. I fear they may be simply early fades of the LP version, which the 45 wasn't. There was an edit towards the end.
Yes Warning Sign another one on my list. Even the recent Now Yearbook got the wrong version.Maybe one day we hope.Yeah we all know that pain, I’ve embarked on my endless pointless search for the 7” of Warning Sign by buying yet another early 90s Nick Heyward \ Haircut 100 compilation (how many are there!). Please assume it’s not the correct version unless there is an unexplained explosion in Hampshire next week!
The LP Version 5:20 is what's called the 'Extended Version' on the 12''.The 7'' version is a minute shorter. A different 'Extended Version' 6:40 turned up online a few years ago on the Heaven Knows digital Expanded.Does anyone know how it differs from the LP version?
It's 4.05Another single edit question.Does anyone know the correct lenght of the U.K.single edit of Chicago's Hard Habit To Break.
Thanks again. I will start looking for a cd with that version now. It's 4.05
Yes I agree it not an exact match to the single version.Another single version not on cd to add to the list.Yes, that's about the only option, but 6 seconds too long. You'd still have to chop a bit off the end and create a new fade to match the actual 45, so it doesn't really further the cause a great deal.
Does anyone know the correct U.K. single lenght of Ashford & Simpson Solid.
Discogs is giving me Two different lenghts 3:21 and 3:46.
Thanks Eric.Going to check if I have it on cd.Those are the two edits I have as well.
3.21 on NOW 1985 10th Anniversary
3.45 on HITS: The 80s
As most of the edits on those 10th NOWs seem to be unique and tailored to those comps alone, I'm tempted to think 3.45 is the "correct" length.
Eric's hunch is wrong I'm afraid. The UK 45 is the shorter 3.21.Does anyone know the correct U.K. single lenght of Ashford & Simpson Solid.
