Question...

What are the differences with the single versions of 'Bootie Call' and 'All Hooked Up'?

- I can hear the differences with 'Lady Marmalade' and 'War Of Nerves', but those two leave me stumped.

I remember reading an article in Smash Hits or something about a day in the life of All Saints. In part of it, they were due to perform the single version of 'Bootie Call' at some event but hadn't even heard the final mix so were panicking over it. I distinctly remember it saying something along the lines of, "Luckily, the only difference is it's a fraction faster." Even at the time I thought it was a pointless thing to do.

Interestingly enough, when All Saints were promoting Under The Bridge/Lady Maramalade in May '98 they performed this version of Bootie Call:

I wonder if they were considering this for the single version? I wish this version was available somewhere - it's similar but not the same as the version on the 1st Japanese issue of the first album.

I have heard many edits and mixes of that song over the years and I had no idea that the one from that performance existed, I hope the studio version of it is out there somewhere

I've just bought 'Never Too Late', 'You Don't Know Me' and 'I Need A Remedy' from Amazon. For years I've only had a 128 kbps LQ version of the first one.

There is nothing on this album I don't love, yet somehow I find it hard to memorise the songs. One Strike, One Woman Man, This Is A War, Who Hurt Who, Ratchet Behaviour... and the other good songs I can't recall.

I have it on cd, it came on the asian version of the I Know Where It's At single an in the japanese version of the Let's Get Started single too

I've seen it out in a couple record stores in Canada. Montreal and Calgary, specifically. Both shops had 4-5 copies. I ordered a signed copy and still haven't received it. Have to resist the urge to buy an unsigned copy to play whilst driving...

Get the unsigned copy to listen to. I got my signed copy but haven't opened it at all. I had to download the album off iTunes ha ha.
