Makes me sad they never did anything for the anniversary.
It had my fave All Saints b-sides too - I still love Do Me & Dope NoizeI actually had the opposite thought. I remembered it being their worst album but gave it a listen recently and enjoyed the whole thing immensely!
I rediscovered Studio 1 today and honestly memories of the good old days surrounding its release really clouded my fair judgment of it. I don't recall it sounding so shit back then dd
Studio 1 is incredible.
Rock Steady
Chick Fit
On & On
Scar
Not Eazy
Headlock
Flashback
Fundamental
… all top tier pop songs.
The extended bridge in the video version of “Rock Steady” is a highlight, shame it’s not how the album version is. I keep meaning to recreate it with the instrumental.
Thanks for this. Got me listening to I Need A Remedy again for first time in years.Do Me, Dope Noize, You Don’t Know Me & I Need A Remedy are all welcome additions too. The latter (which I believe was written by Natalie in the same sessions as Flashback) is probably my favourite.
Actually, "Do Me" is written by Shaznay, K-Gee and Steve Octave. "Dope Noize", "You Don't Know Me", are co-written by Melanie and K-Gee (+ Toussaint Allen for "You Don't Know Me"). Was really feeling Ready, Willing and Able today.
I totally forgot they performed it aswell which was such a treat.
Natalie singing her arse off here makes me smile.
Ah, thanks! I thought I'd actually checked, but that solves half of it!
